1 year in our home today 🏡

We’ve been decorating very slowly… emphasis on slowly 😂
But we’ll get there.

Which space would you love to see us work on next?

EP 5 | £5 Family Meals Series 🛒

Corn, Chicken & Potato Traybake for a family of 4 for £4.77 from Aldi and it was so good 😋

Food prices are no joke right now so every week I’ll be showing you exactly what I make to feed my family of 4 for £5.

What £5 meal should I make next? Drop it in the comments ✨

Four years ago, we arrived in the UK with no clear idea of how things would turn out.

Four years later, we’re still grateful, for the courage we had back then, and for how far we’ve come since.

If you’ve ever started over in a new country, I’d love to hear your story 🤍

How is the journey treating you so far?

Family days out don’t always have to cost a fortune.

Free cinema tickets thanks to our Club Lloyds account, popcorn and treats from B&M, and drinks from home. A little planning saved us some money, and the girls still had the best time 😍😍

Are you team cinema snacks or team bring your own?

Our 10-day Albania itinerary 🇦🇱

📍Tirana → Himarë → Sarandë → Ksamil → Tirana

We did this trip with our two little ones and I loved that we got a bit of everything the city, the Albanian Riviera, beach days, a boat trip and plenty of slower days in between.
We didn’t manage everything on our original itinerary (because travelling with kids 😂), but I was really happy with the route we ended up doing.

Save this if you’re planning Albania 🇦🇱

Nobody prepared me for how much having a visa would shape every single career decision I made in the UK 🇬🇧.

It’s not just about what job you want. It’s about what job keeps you legal, meets the threshold, doesn’t jeopardise your settlement timeline and still pays enough to survive.

If you’re living this, this one’s for you 🥹🇬🇧

Save this and share it with someone who gets it. 👇

2 weeks of groceries for a family of 4 for £154.76 from @aldiuk. 🛒

And yes, the @aldispecialbuysuk middle aisle got me. It always gets me. £20 for a mini chopper and a mini waffle maker and I have absolutely no regrets. 😂

How much do you spend on groceries monthly for your family?

Protecting your peace after a long, exhausting day is worth so much more than trying to be a perfect chef every single night.

Give yourself some grace this week. Your family needs a well-rested, happy mum way more than they need a meal made entirely from scratch.

Save this for the next time you need a reminder to take a breather, and follow for more realistic UK mum life 🤍

What’s your go-to lazy dinner shortcut when you’re completely exhausted?

The number one question on my viral £5 traybake was: “Can we make this in an air fryer without doing separate batches?”

AD | As a busy working mum, anything that makes getting dinner on the table easier is a win for me 😂 So I put the new @cosori.uk TurboTower Pro Smart to the test.

Using the rack meant I could cook the chicken above the potatoes (so all those juices could drip down just like the original 🤤), while the carrots and corn cooked at the same time too. And with Sync & Match, I could time both drawers to finish together.

Safe to say, the viral traybake passed the air fryer test 🙌🏾
