Hard work will always pay off! Try out that master class. Go to that new camp. Push yourself out of your comfort zones. Never settle for the bare minimum. Dreams are great, but there is nothing better than making your dreams a reality!

For all you Orange County dancers out there, you are blessed to live in a place where you have TONS of options for great dance instruction! Check out @allthingsdanceoc’s master class and summer program listings in the highlights section! Try something new! Make this summer the summer you LEVEL UP!

There are tons of amazing dance studios in Orange County but not all of them are the best place for YOU. If you’re not seeing improvement but you’re putting in the work, make a change. Day one is not the day to be the squeaky wheel!

Good luck to every one trying out over the next month! Be sure to get out of your comfort zone leading up to auditions and take classes from a range of people that will challenge you and help you get to where you need to be for your audition! by @allthingsdanceoc

Did you know that MANY dancers do not perform aerials properly (either utilizing poor arm placement or by bending improperly at the hips)? These deficiencies make team aerials look sloppy, cause inconsistency, and can result in injury! If you don’t have a solid tumbling teacher available at your studio and you can’t find classes at other studios, consider reaching out to a local gymnastics facility. Some of them will open new tumbling classes specifically for dancers if you bring 3-5 dancers that sign up for the class. One thing is for sure, good tumbling teachers are HARD to find!

Sometimes it takes a little trial and error, but there is the perfect place for you somewhere in Orange County! Remember, you or your dancer needs to learn the proper foundation and building blocks of dance no matter where they are, and sometimes, even the top competitively ranked studios will leave you or your dancer behind the curve. Look for great teachers (with actual dance experience themselves) and the willingness to work with EVERYONE! Yelp is not the place to go to make these decisions. Glowing comments don’t always translate to solid technical dancers! Attend recitals and/or competitions, talk to people in the industry, and take some walk in classes at different places. What is best for me may not be the best for you. With a little bit of work, you will find where you are meant to be…and the rest will be history! by @allthingsdanceoc

The top teams often require long and complex turn combos, aerials and TOP TIER technique.

Highly recommend Aaron Chavarria at @ciadanceco or @hbpdanceextreme_official for aerials!

Anyone have any other recommendations, especially for those south county teams? by @allthingsdanceoc
