If you want to understand Wilmington, Delaware, you have to understand the du Pont family.

Their story starts along the Brandywine at @hagleymuseum, where the family built its early American home and business. From there, their influence spread across the region — including the grand @hotel_dupont right in downtown Wilmington.

And then there are the estates.

At @winterthurmuse, H.F. du Pont transformed his 175-room home and his passions for gardens and American decorative arts into a museum.

At @nemoursestate, the du Pont decadence is on full display inside a 77-room mansion surrounded by formal French-inspired gardens.

Hagley. Hotel DuPont. Winterthur. Nemours. Four very different places that tell one fascinating story about the family that helped shape Wilmington.

Am I a fishing expert? No. Did I catch anything good? Also no. But I had a complete blast fishing with @journeyby_jacq and @shayshayexplores 🎣

We had a hosted stay with @detroitlakesminnesota and when I saw fishing was on the itinerary, I was very apprehensive.

But Brady from @baxstarfishing was the absolute best! Not only does he have an awesome high tech super sparkly fishing boat, but he knows his stuff and made me feel at ease… even when I refused to use live bait.

If you’re looking for a fishing guide, check out @baxstarfishing in any season of Minnesota!

You say Miata, we say MX-5. Potato, potahto. It’s a cute little convertible that could fit in your driveway. Or…?

Opinions. We got ‘em. Thanks for watching and be sure to follow us both!

ARE WE SURE THIS IS MINNESOTA? 🇳🇴

Just across the river from Fargo, North Dakota, you’ll find a little piece of Norway!

The Hopperstad Stave Church at the Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead, Minnesota, is a full-size replica of a 12th-century Norwegian church, complete with intricate wood carvings and some fascinating history.

And apparently, the local wild turkeys are big fans of Norwegian architecture. 🦃

Would you expect to find this in Minnesota? You would if you knew the Scandinavian heritage there!

THIS BUILDING IS ALIVE! 🪽

I’ve never seen anything quite like the moving wings of the @milwaukeeart Museum. And yes, they actually FLAP!

You’re watching the famous noon flap, captured in a time-lapse today.

I have so much more to show you from this fascinating Milwaukee landmark, but for now, enjoy the show!

We don’t always agree on vehicular opinions but there was something about those dual phone chargers on the new @vw Atlas that got us both talking.

But would we put it in our driveway? Of course we don’t agree on this one.

What are your thoughts?

Coffee? Check. Brats? Check. Sushi, seafood, BBQ, candy, ice cream, and wine? Check, check, check! 🍷

The Milwaukee Public Market has been a fixture in the Historic Third Ward since 2005, and with nearly 20 independent vendors, there’s a little something for everyone.

I went for the experience. I stayed for the cherry cheesecake. 🍒🍰

What’s the first thing you’d try?

Is there really such a thing as too much cheese? Not in my book. And I’ve always thought Wisconsin is the BEST and now I know why!

True story: I visited Wisconsin probably 30 years ago and asked locals if there was a good place to buy cheese and in their Midwestern accent they said, “Oh, you betcha! Go to Steve’s Cheese. It’s real good!”

I’m an overpacker. There, I said it. 🧳😂

But one thing that barely takes up any space? My books!

The XTEINK X4 Classic is a tiny e-reader with a paper-like E Ink screen that magnetically attaches to the back of my phone. Perfect for switching from scrolling (or streaming!) to reading when I’m traveling. 📚✈️

And with up to 10 days of battery life, it’s one less thing to worry about charging.

🔗 Check out the XTEINK X4 Classic through the link in my bio!

Two women. One car. No filter. 🚗

What happens when you put an East Coast girl and a West Coast girl behind the wheel of the same car? A few opinions. A few disagreements. And a whole lot of car talk.

First up: the Dodge Charger R/T. 🇺🇸

This is just the beginning! We’ve got 7 cars, 2 perspectives, and absolutely no guarantee we’ll agree.

Who’s ready for the next one? 👀

Listen… it’s been a busy month already and I still have so much to share!

I spent several days in Fargo, ND (and the nearby Moorhead, MN) for my 6th @tbexevents conference. It’s a great place to learn and network but also gives me a reason to visit places I’ve never been!

Then I headed over to @detroitlakesminnesota for a post-conference trip with two other creators and we had a blast doing outdoorsy light activities.

I love finding adventure in unexpected places and I can’t wait to show it to you!

Would you stay in the middle of the Minnesota woods? 🌲

What if your cabin had FIVE bedrooms, three bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a little piece of Minnesota history?

Welcome to MapleHus at @maplelagresort, near Detroit Lakes, Minnesota!

Once the home of the family who founded the resort, MapleHus has been beautifully renovated while keeping its rustic character, including reclaimed materials and personal touches from the original owners.

Add in lake views, wooded trails, and a nearby sauna, and you’ve got a pretty amazing place to escape with family or friends.

Would you book a stay here?
