💕 HER STORY: Maika Paul

One of my favorite things about HER STORY is being reminded that there is no one way for a woman’s life to be meaningful.

Sometimes the story is in the big leap. Sometimes it’s in the rebuilding. And sometimes it’s in the woman who has quietly spent years building a career, loving her people, experiencing life, and continuing to become.

Maika’s story made me think about how often we celebrate the next thing without stopping to appreciate the life we already have.

And that’s today’s gem: Don’t become so focused on building a beautiful future that you forget to enjoy your beautiful right now. 💕

Breakfast will always be my favorite meal. 🍽️

A few months ago, I decided to start being a little more intentional about what I’m putting into my body. Not by cutting everything out or going cold turkey, because let’s be real… I still love my favorite foods! 😂

I just started paying more attention to my portions, how often I’m having certain things, and what makes me actually feel good.

As a mom, it’s so easy to spend the day taking care of everyone else and forget to take care of yourself. I’m learning that taking care of me doesn’t have to mean extreme diets or completely changing who I am.

Sometimes it’s just making better choices, finding balance, and being consistent.

And honestly? Since I’ve been doing that, I feel SO much better.

Still enjoying my food. Still enjoying breakfast. Just a little more mindful about it.

Because balance > restriction, always.

There’s something about the middle/end of summer that always makes me reflect on just how fast time is moving. Maybe it’s because summer is flying by 😅, but it really forces me to slow down and take it all in. My babies are getting older, and honestly, I’m not quite sure how to feel about it. On one hand, I’m so excited watching them meet their milestones, discover new hobbies, learn new things, and simply live their best little lives. But on the other hand, there’s a part of me that gets sad knowing they’ll never be this young again. These little moments, these little versions of them… they’re temporary. Life really waits for no one. So I’m trying to remind myself to slow down, soak it all in, take the pictures, make the memories, and be present for it all — even the messy, chaotic moments. Because one day, I’m going to miss these days more than I can imagine. 🥹💙
