Postpartum was no joke 😅

Picture this:
- We had just relocated. No family, no friends, no “drop by and hold the baby while you nap” kind of help. Just me, my husband, and a newborn who thought sleep was optional.
- Six months of colic. Six. Months. That’s half a year of crying so loud I’m happy the neighbors didn't call the cops on us😂
- He refused every kind of milk except breastmilk. Formula? Nah.It was mama or nothing.
- Homemade-only meals. While working a 9–5, I was also running a Michelin-star kitchen for one very picky customer. No cereal, no shortcuts—just fresh, mama-made meals.
- Clinginess at Olympic level. this child was superglued to me.
- And crying? Oh, crying was his favorite pastime. He cried like it was a sport, and he was aiming for gold.

But here’s the thing: all of that is now behind us. Those endless nights, the tears, the exhaustion—they’re history. Now we’re onto new challenges, and I can laugh about the old ones because I know what I survived.

So to the mama still in the thick of postpartum: **you’ve got this.** It feels like forever, but one day you’ll look back and realize you were stronger than you ever imagined.

No matter the spacing, there will be moments of jealousy, rivalry, and “why does he get to do that and I don’t?” But those same moments shape resilience, negotiation skills, and empathy.

The “ideal” spacing isn’t about years—it’s about how you, as the parent, balance fairness, attention, and love.

It’s like choosing between different flavors of pepper soup: spicy, mild, or extra hot. Each one will make you sweat, but you’ll still enjoy the richness of the meal😉

Christmas was fun 💃🏾💃🏾. It was fun celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ and reminding ourselves, at the end of the day, what a privilege it is to be loved by someone who came to the world to die for you and me.
