WHO ARE YOU REALLY LIVING FOR? 💗

We can get so caught up in these jobs, meeting deadlines, exceeding expectations, chasing promotions, and trying to prove our value that we forget to ask ourselves one important question…

Am I fulfilling God’s purpose, or am I just meeting everybody else’s expectations?

I know I can get caught up in it!

There’s nothing wrong with working hard, being ambitious, or wanting to excel. But somewhere along the way, we have to make sure we’re not so busy building a career that we neglect what God has called us to do.

Sometimes the very thing we’re working so hard to maintain is the thing keeping us from becoming who God created us to be.

And just like God transformed Saul into Paul, He can redirect our lives, renew our minds, and help us recognize when it’s time to shift our focus.

I don’t just want to be successful in the eyes of the world. I want to be faithful to the purpose God placed on my life.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not about pleasing people. It’s about pleasing GOD! 🙏🏾

Some seasons will make you question the plan because what you’re living through doesn’t look anything like what you prayed for.

But Jeremiah 29:11 reminds me that God sees the whole story while we’re only seeing the chapter we’re in.

So that's why I’m choosing to trust Him, even when I don’t understand. Just because there may be a delay, a detour, or a disappointment…none of it means God has forgotten me.

There is still a future. There is still hope. And God is still writing the story. 💗

✨ Today’s reminder: Don’t let a hard chapter convince you that the story won’t end well.

💚 Good Morning! Here’s your reminder: God didn’t create you to simply survive. He wants you to LIVE!

Have you ever been so distracted by everything going on around you that you forgot to appreciate what God has already placed in front of you?

I know I have! 🙋🏽‍♀️

The enemy doesn’t always show up looking like trouble. Sometimes he shows up as comparison, worry, fear, chasing things that don’t really matter, or simply being so busy that we lose sight of what truly matters.

And before we know it, our peace is gone, our joy is missing, and we’re just going through the motions.

But in John 10:10, Jesus reminds us that He came so we could have life and have it more abundantly!

And that abundant life isn’t about having more stuff, more money, or a perfect life. It’s about having more of HIM. More peace, more purpose, more joy, and the freedom to live the life He created us for.

So today, don’t let distractions steal the joy of what God is doing in your life.

💕 Here’s my question for you: What’s one thing you need to stop giving so much attention to so you can make more room for God’s peace and purpose?

Sometimes the prayer isn’t, “God, change my situation.”
Sometimes it’s, “God, change ME while I’m in it.” 💗

Create in me a clean heart. Renew my thoughts. Correct my attitude. Remove what doesn’t look like You, and help me see what You’re trying to teach me in this season.

Because instead of always asking “God, WHY am I going through this?” maybe the better question is:

“God, WHAT do You want to do in me through this?”

That one question can change how we walk through some of the hardest seasons of our lives.

God knows our hearts better than anyone else—and He still loves us completely. 💗

He knows the thoughts we never say out loud, the places where we’re still growing, the hurts we’re still healing from, and even the intentions behind our actions.

That kind of love should make us want to live differently.

Not perfectly—but intentionally.

Because when God’s love is filling our hearts, it should eventually show up in how we speak, forgive, serve, respond, and love other people.

So today, before we focus on what everyone else is doing, let’s ask God to check our hearts.

🙏🏾 Lord, guard my heart, correct what needs correcting, heal what needs healing, and let my life be a reflection of Your love.

We had an amazing time at the Kindred Hearts 4th Annual Gala—and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate our anniversary weekend than supporting a cause that truly matters to us both!

Kindred Hearts supports grandparents and relatives who step in to raise children when life takes an unexpected turn and often without the resources and support they need.
