Not quite enough to harvest but plenty for garden snacking. Next year, my blueberry harvest should really start to pick up as it will year 3 of their growth since Ladybug ate them. And peas should have enough to harvest because now I know I need to plant them earlier and double the amount of seedlings.

I harvested my first peas ever this morning! I have been trying to grow them for the last 3 years but this was my first successful year. Growing up I don’t think I was a big pea lover (unless they were drenched in butter) but I kept hearing how amazing fresh garden peas tasted so I gave it a whirl. I still can’t get over how much better homegrown veggies taste than store bought veggies. These peas are so good!

omg omg omg omg … so excited! I may actually get to harvest a few blueberries this year. Took almost 2 years to recover after Ladybug, my German Shepherd rescue, nearly destroyed them when she moved in. Now the bushes live in jail but are so much happier.

Little garden hack I’ve learned … pick all your sweet pea flowers on Friday to keep your house filled w their scent for the weekend and they will bloom again en masse by Monday or Tuesday

Last year, my garden wasn’t super productive. A large part of that was because I had to Ladybug-proof my beds. Even with I had a LOT of help, it was a ton of work figuring out the solution, sourcing the panels, figuring the measurements and then cutting everything to size. And then I saw this a few days ago. Apparently Ladybug is a shapeshifter too. Who knew?
