POSTS STORIES REELS

April 6, 2014-December 23, 2023
9 years and 8 months.
Boomer lived and loved through 10 summers, 10 springs, 9 falls and 9 winters.
He was full of love and pure silliness. He gave us more than we could ever ever imagine. What an absolute honour it was to be in his life, to experience adventures with him and to feel so loved and never alone, he was always by our side. A huge loss for our family to say the least. I wish you all had the chance to have met him, he’d have only made you smile, laugh and feel loved. He was so loved. He lived such an amazing life, longer than most of this breed by years, but 9 years and 8 months felt so short in the end. It’s never seems long enough.

Miss you so much buddy.

Roam free, off leash like you love sniffing and peeing with no limits now.

Special thanks to many of you for your kind words and to @little_red_rambo who has known, cared and adventured with Boomer for years. 🌈

We hit the 2-year mark since Miss Coco joined our family. What started as an emergency foster ended in a foster fail.
She’s a completely different dog than she was 2-years ago, because like humans, dogs can also change and adapt based on their environment and conditions.
She’s quirky, unique and eccentric. Def fits in our family well 😂.
Everyone who meets her asks if she’s a puppy. Her mannerisms are puppy like at times, but I’ve rolled back her predicted age and say she’s 3.

She gets so much love, care, enrichment and activity. I’m happy we were able to give this mum of 9 a real shot at living her best life.

What it looks like when you sleep 12-13 hours a night, wake up and request snuggles for at least 15 minutes, fall back asleep, then go for your morning walk and make mama so proud of alllll the check ins and amazing walking (no pulling), come home for breakfast and then start your day with toys and the thought of plenty of naps ahead.

It’s been 2 mos since #misscoco entered our lives. What started as a foster with @bcspca and plan to find her a great home turned into a foster fail!

She’s come so far and has really integrated into our family and lifestyle.
A dog that had so much anxiety and couldn’t be left alone for 5 mins is now a dog who is so comfortable being alone, she just needed to develop trust and know we were coming home.
A dog that wasn’t able to climb stairs, jump in a car, no basic training is now a dog who can do it all and is responding amazing to training by @stacytrainsdogs @dogpartnerstraining
Lots of good work ahead to manage her massive (and I mean massive!!) prey drive for squirrels while leash walking, but we are patient and know she was a stray (unknown for how long) but my girl was so pregnant out in the cold for many many days and birthed 5 days after she was found (to 9 puppies). We are saying she’s 2, maybe younger, but she’s definitely young.
We love you Coco (bean/butter). We still hold Boomer so high in our hearts and minds. He’d have loved you. ❤️

Miss Coco (butter/bean) has officially been adopted by our family. ❤️
In just one month with us she’s come so far and really settled in. This is her home.

She was found VERY pregnant in March 2024, wandering for 5 days in the same area in Quesnel. She was taken to the SPCA where no one claimed her 😢 and 4 days later she birthed NINE puppies.

I bet she was an amazing mum enduring harsh March winter conditions outdoors in Northern BC,
foraging for food and protecting her unborn pups.

She’s full of love, playful, energetic and also sleeps, snores and farts like the queen she is.

Our vet predicts she’s about 1.5-2.5 years old. Who really knows but girl, we got you. ❤️

We signed up for 7-weeks of private training with @stacytrainsdogs @dogpartnerstraining In one session I’ve been able to significantly improve her leash walking can’t wait to see what’s ahead for Miss Coco. #thepowerofcheese

Just spent an hour with @stacytrainsdogs and learned more in 1 hour than I could imagine. So grateful!!
#misscocobean responded so well and I can’t wait to put all these learnings into practice. Highly recommend her and Dog Partners. So so good. Help get Coco adopted! Share this post, ask around if you know someone. What’s in it for you? If you are the one who gets her to an awesome home ill give you $100!

Coco (female)likely a Black Mouth Cur, mix maybe 2.4-4 years old max . Spayed, shots up to date.
SUPER amazing with dogs, like super! Super loving and sweet. Strong prey drive- squirrels and cats. Recommend a home with no cats.
Is a hunting dog. Needs her space outside that’s secure to roam, sniff and chase. Would be amazing on a farm but still needs indoor space to sleep and live. Housetrained, but loves to find and chew soft stuffed animals and dryer sheets 😂. Sleeps solid. Doesn’t bark or react to cars pulling up or people entering the home. Only barks when she is close to a squirrel and wants to get it.
Does very well with kids, I’d recommend older than 10. Smaller kids she still needs to learn her manners (she’ll stand up with excitement to greet them). VERY trainable and has made amazing progress in 2 weeks. Sits when asked, getting used to ‘off and down’. Really craves stimulation during the day. Loves her kong and bully sticks and ‘hunting games’ hiding treats. Loves people. She needs and wants good girl praises and belly rubs, she’ll roll over on her back, smile and crave belly rubs and kisses.
I will pay for adoption fees and other things. Give the breed what it needs. This dog is amazing.

Coco (butter) doin’ her thang. #titsout #dogs #dogsofinstagram #explore #explorepage #americanfoxhound @americanfoxhound.oficial by @allverygooddogs

Coco (butter) had an amazing first day/night. She’s adapted very quickly to our home and family. She LOVES to play and we can see she hasn’t had that important opportunity in a long time.
Although we tried for her to sleep on the ground, she jumped on our bed and immediately passed out snoring solid throughout the night. She woke inviting cuddles and praises.

No reactivity in her at all. Zero. No barking with other dogs or people, doesn’t bark when someone enters or comes to the door or to any sounds.

She’ll focus on anything that moves like nothing I’ve ever seen 😂, including following an ant.

We are investing in her recall and basic commands. She’s calm and loving her space.

Meet Coco. A 4 year old American Foxhound (and some other mix I’m sure). We are fostering her. She’s the sweetest, tail wagging, roll over and rub my belly girl. She was left in Williams Lake after she’d been used for making puppies. Behaviour is outstanding, no issues, fully housetrained and just wants to feel safe and loved . We got you Coco. ❤️
