My sweet beast ✍️ is finished (for now)! Quite, quite exhausted, had a little cry the night I completed her.. I’m hoping soon to share the details of where and when you can see the piece 🌞🌷🌱

A few parts of the drawing here, as well as a treat if you swipe to the final pic 🫏

Thanks everyone for following (putting up with) this lengthy, lengthy process and I hope you like the work 🥰 have a great week!

✨the artist talk I gave in the summer is now viewable online - link in bio ✨

later than I anticipated after 3 surgeries in 5 months, a few extra scars - some I will learn to love, some more painful to accept

9 months being prevented from drawing and painting has been a pain I would find hard to describe

if I spoke now I would likely be less tentative and use more swear words.. (let me know if you need this kind of speaker!)

but this time we touched upon:

wildness - authenticity - london - writing - control - language - the sea

hope you enjoy ❤️

✨ imagine, two wild seas ✨ she is open ! Installing in 34 degrees made me dream of the sea even more 🌊🌊🌊

deep thanks to my friends, all those who have visited so far, and to the wonderful @onepavedcourt for the kindness and support. I am so grateful (and very tired) 🌞

caffeine levels at a new high, but the exhibition is ready for you, see you soon..

« When one is pretending, the entire body revolts » I read this quote from Anaïs Nin a few days ago when I was in Spain.

The time away was painful and turbulent and beautiful, and not what I had thought it would be.

It rained everyday, the sea was also turbulent and beautiful, sometimes black and sometimes glistening.

I thought a lot about water, authenticity, the body, courage, gratitude. I hope to share new work with you soon, as well as exhibition news ✨

For now some photographs, and strong, deep, magnificent wishes on women’s day ❤️

(and sincere thanks to my friends)

a friend took this portrait of me when I was having a hard weekend.. I like the sort of grumpy face

found a note I wrote the other day that said ‘kindness is a great answer’… quite liked finding it

in brackets afterwards I’d written - (also to yourself)

here are some lovely works from various exhibitions at Tate Britain, pieces by John Singer Sargent, William Blake and Chris Ofili (got a bit obsessed with Sargent’s hands)..
