Knee rehab, but make it off-season by @ally_wollaston

Off season came a little bit earlier than expected (and wanted) for this year. No world champs for me for the second year in a row 🥲

Cleaned up some dodgy cartilage on the left knee this morning, but happy to report it all went very smoothly! Back home now with family and a very brave guard dog. Big thankyou to everyone who has reached out & to the team involved in getting this whole process done so efficiently. Feeling very lucky for my support team right about now!

Now we rehab & look ahead to 2027 👀 by @ally_wollaston

The best country & even better company 💛 by @ally_wollaston

7 years later and finally managed to make it to graduation! 🥹

Juggling study & sport has definitely not been an easy journey, and one that could not have been done without a good support system. Thankyou so much to everyone that made this possible; particularly @waikatohillaryscholars & @hpsportnz for their ongoing support 🫶🏼 by @ally_wollaston

BEYOND excited to wear this jersey in 2026. A lot of love has gone into this one.

The biggest thankyou to Bridgette from @koukoucreatives who (very rapidly) designed the Māori art within the fern on this jersey. I spoke with Bridgette & sent her everything there is to know about me. Within a few days I had this beautiful design to tell my story. Bridgette you really are the best 🥹

A big thankyou also to @gobik_wear for creating this jersey, @iamspecialized for the custom helmet, and my team @fdj_suez for the freedom to design such a meaningful piece. Also thankyou to @caitlinpipfielder for the design inspiration 🫶🏼

An explanation of the design is below if you are interested! :

Each rau (leaf) of the fern was designed to capture the different aspects of my journey.

The bottom rau is my grounding foundation which represents my whakapapa (genealogy) as Ngati Porou and Hikurangi Maunga.

Then comes my amazing whanau (family). The four lines representing my Mum, Dad, and two sisters; Nina and Claudia

From my whanau came me. Bridgette used the design of the Mangöpare (hammerhead shark) to represent strength and fierce determination. It’s symmetry reflects the balance of law, with the poutama design acknowledging my education and continued pursuit of growth and that of other wahine (women).

The next rau reflects my profession as an athlete with the haenae and pakati pattern formed like the lines of a velodrome.

Then lastly, acting as a kaitiaki to each of the rau
