Saturday 11/7 Songwriters in the Round at @therookeryhillsborough with @jasonbalesmusic @kentnickerson @dannysandlot

With a voice somewhere between Roy Orbison and Dwight Yoakam, the songs of @jasonbales pull from Townes Van Zandt, John Prine, Nick Drake, Bob Dylan, and early country, blues, and rock and roll.

@kentnickerson is a Durham-based songwriter whose band Brother Kent explores the American sonic tradition. Equal parts The National and The Band, it’s Indie-edged Americana with storytelling always at the heart.

@dannysandlot For fans of Jeff Tweedy, Hiss Golden Messenger, Fruit Bats, and This is Lorelai, Danny brings the weight of every song he’s ever loved to every word he writes and every line he sings.
