This was the first picture I ever took of anything cookie related. I was about to start my first “real” order, like one that someone was actually paying me for…and figured I’d document the process because it was genuinely a dream come true. I never could have imagined how quickly things would take off after that, just slinging cookies out of my little (okay, TINY) apartment kitchen in Columbus at a rate I never could have imagined.

It’s been almost 9 years of Ally Beth’s Custom Cookies. This little business has carried me through so much of my life, and in turn, so many of yours. Birthdays. Babies. Weddings. Showers. New Cities. New Jobs. Parties. Parties. More Parties.

It’s bittersweet to say that I am closing the “business owner” chapter of my life. I will no longer be taking on cookie orders. I’m going back to just being a hobby baker - for my kids birthdays, for teacher gifts, for “just because”. The difference between now & 2017 when I started, is that I’ve realized not everything I enjoy & love to do has to be a “hustle”. There’s both sadness & relief in this decision.

But most of all, I just want to say thank you. Like, sincerely with the deepest amount of gratitude, thank you. So many of you have been there since the very beginning, referring me to friends & family, and supporting Ally Beth’s Cookies over and over again. I quite literally couldn’t have done any of this without you. “Thank you” will never feel like enough to capture what it’s meant to me. You literally made a big dream & life goal of mine come true. ✨

Feel free to stick around for the occasional photo of my “just because” cookie work. And if you need a new cookie lady - just let me know! I’ve made some incredible friends through this & I’d be happy to refer you to any of them. Promise you’ll be in good hands. ❤️
