What a gift and what a God we serve 💛

There is nothing sweeter than beginning freshman year surrounded by people who love Jesus and desire to know Him more. So thankful for each conversation, prayer, time of worship, and every little reminder of His faithfulness. Wow, there aren’t enough words to describe the love I have for this place. I could have never imagined four years ago when I first came, the impact that this country, town, and the people in it would leave on me. Year after year, this trip has continued to change my life and remind me of the power and importance in loving your neighbor. God is evident in this community and the love these people have for me, a complete stranger, will forever be eye opening. They have more gratitude than I’ve ever seen before. There is something so powerful worshipping alongside these people because despite the language barrier, we are all worshipping the same God, and His love prevails. The people here have become family to me and blessed me in more ways than I could have ever blessed them. Having to say goodbye was absolutely heartbreaking because I’m not sure the next time I’ll be there, but I know the Lord has big plans for this ministry and I’ll be back soon. I’m leaving with a changed heart and new perspective that will continue to impact my life. What a blessing it is to have signed up for this trip freshman year and to be able to look back with nothing but gratitude and love for this place. Thank you Honduras for forever being my home away from home and turning complete strangers into family.
