Today marks one year since Anthonyโ€™s accident, a year thatโ€™s been hard, yet deeply rewarding. No, it hasnโ€™t been easy. But watching Anthony defy the odds and accomplish things we were once told he might never do again has been one of the most powerful and rewarding things. There are still many moments where I find myself replaying old videos just to hear his voice or singing our favorite songs to him. But through it all, itโ€™s clear that God has had His hand over Anthony, protecting him, and healing him day by day. Before we know it, Anthony will be walking and talking again, probably reminding us of all the things we did that drove him crazy while he couldnโ€™t say a word about it! Anthonyโ€™s favorite Bible verse has always been: Philippians 4:13 โ€œI can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.โ€ This verse has become our reminder of the strength God continues to pour into Anthony as he heals. On July 25th my family got a call no family should ever have to receive. My older brother, Anthony, was in a devastating car accident which caused him 50+ nights in the ICU. Soon after that he was moved to โ€œBrooks Rehabilitation Hospitalโ€ where heโ€™s starting his path to relearn mostly everything. As I sit here, I think on this same sentence a lot of people have said to me, โ€œeverything happens for a reason.โ€ Even though you donโ€™t know the reason, or where things are gonna go, Even if it isnโ€™t the outcome you want it to be, everything is gonna be OKAY! We wouldnโ€™t be where we are without all the prayers from SO MANY people. Joshua 1:9 โ€œbe strong and courageous.
