Just so everyone knows, I’d do it all over! An odd family we may be, but we are definitely family! Jackson Bartholomew, you being me so much joy and I am so proud of you! More post of more people to come. Still fighting the pain and counting my blessings. by @allymc89
Last week, I crossed the finish line of the Austin Marathon. And honestly… I and my tribe, didn’t think I could (which is uncommon when I go into these things!) Between all the life changes this past few months and the ankle issues that slowed everything down, there were a lot of unknowns. A lot of moments where the goal felt far away. But I kept putting one foot in front of the other the best I could and last week it paid off. I finished the full marathon in 6:25. What makes it even more meaningful is that along the way, I PR’d every single distance: my 1K, 1 mile, 5K, 10K, half marathon… and ultimately my longest distance ever in the full marathon. Not because the day was perfect. Not because it was easy. But because I didn’t quit. I’m incredibly grateful I got to share the experience with so many friends and family. Getting to run my first full with my BIL and Bro while my sis got her first Half was Awesome! And then having my @gatorsrunclub mates join in for there first Fulls was just the cherry on top! We made a full trip out of it, and even though I didn’t have much left in the tank afterward (turns out 26.2 miles will do that to you when you are not trained), it was still so special just being together, celebrating, and soaking it all in. This one meant a lot. It wasn’t about pace. It wasn’t about placement. It was about proving to myself that even when life shifts, even when the body isn’t cooperating, forward is still forward. Grateful. Proud. And already wondering what’s next. Best Crew Ever! @djmcwhorter @michellezig @johnathanmc7 @beautyandtheboxers @kgperkins @mama.finding.fit @d.a.n.i.e.l.m.e And Phone Support when my pacing watch died! Huge shout out to @mattflyyer for relaying all my stats to me while I was out there! Also shout out to @hollarhype and the crew! I didn’t make it to the finish in time to meet everyone, but the hypes were gold out there! Thanks Adam! @austinmarathon by @allymc89

I’ve heard the question a lot… who has more fun at Waves of Impact—the campers or the volunteers? 😂🌊 And I’m pretty convinced it’s the volunteers. We show up hoping to give our time, energy, encouragement, and maybe a little confidence on the water—but somehow, we always walk away with so much more than we came with. I’m incredibly grateful for my Waves of Impact family—the volunteers who serve alongside me, out fearless leaders, the campers who keep us laughing and remind us what pure joy looks like, and the families who trust us to be part of their lives. 💙 These weekends fill my cup in the best way. So thankful I get to be a small part of something this special. 🌊🤙 by @allymc89
