Today, my thesis was awarded the 2023 Thompson Prize for Outstanding/Best Honors Thesis and given Highest Honors by UCLA’s English Department. I spent the past year writing about disappearing women in the works of Virginia Woolf, and I am so proud of this project. For anyone interested, the link to the thesis is in my bio. Attached are random photos that came from this laborious and incredibly rewarding process. Thank you to everyone who supported me. It’s been a little over a month since I had my NYC directing debut, so I thought I should finally post properly. Co-directing and producing @nataliegiannosa ’s incredible solo show for ITS nyc debut has been a massive highlight of this year for me. I am so grateful to Natalie for trusting me with her baby, for allowing me to put some of my fingerprints on her creation that I already knew and loved so dearly. To have this be the first of many creative collaborations between the two of us — I could not be prouder. Thank you to everyone who attended in person or via live stream, it means the world to me that I get to play a part in sharing Nat’s incredible gift with all of you. Endlessly inspiring to me, always and forever in awe of you, @nataliegiannosa — I love you.

And to my friend @bencmusic for being an incredible MD, who made the evening so seamless and beautiful— it was so special to watch two people I love make music together.

And thank you to my parents for flying all the way across the country to celebrate this incredible show and extraordinary person.

A life update: some of you know, but starting in the fall, I will be a doctoral student at The CUNY Graduate Center, enrolled in their PhD program in English Literature. I am so excited to be part of this incredible program, where I will continue to obsess over (and now professionally research) ellipses, Virginia Woolf, form, diaries, collage, and all that. taken in The Graduate Center, CUNY by @allyson.roche

ATTENTION!!!!! I don’t even know how to express all this but I’m so excited for and proud of my partner @nataliegiannosa , who is bringing her solo show to @thegreenroom42 next month. She has spent nearly three years performing it across the globe on cruise ships, and it has been an absolute thrill to produce and co-write this expanded, new version of “Stars are Born” alongside her. I can go on and on and on about her voice, her wit and humor, and how Nat’s precision as an actress makes her basically my favorite interpreter of all these songs, but you can just go see all of that for yourself on July 10th. And it gets better because she will be joined by the PHENOMENAL @pissimyles and @dillon_scott_klena ! So if you are in NYC, get your tix asap! Link in bio.
