I’m distraught and heartbroken to be writing this. Yesterday we lost our beloved Kona suddenly and unexpectedly. If you know me, you know Kona. I talked about her to everyone and bragged about how she was the sweetest cat and unlike your typical cat. People who hate cats told me they loved her. She was cuddly and silly and loving. She just wanted to be close to me. Admittedly sometimes it annoyed me but now I would trade anything to go back to her laying on top of me with her butt in my face.

Kona, choonie, my sweet girl. You did not go quietly. You will be thought of and spoken about every day. I always thought you’d be there when I had my first baby, but I’ve realized now you still will.

There is a huge cat-shaped hole in our hearts and lives. I cannot thank you enough for the love and comfort you’ve given me, and I can only hope you felt the same from me. Please hug your animals tightly today. by @allywbader
