Abstract Painter @almafaham

Website: (http://www.almafaham.com)

Slide 1

Cozying up in my sunroom with coffee on a cold winter morning just got better! A collector recently shared a photo of my artwork, “Boy and Girl,” from the collection “Uncover the Truth,” proudly displayed in their beautiful home.

This collection explores the essence of humanity, reminding us that we are all born equal.

Slide 2 & 3

Back to Life emerged after a flood destroyed much of my studio and many of my paintings.

Using the remaining fragments, I began reconstructing new works through collage. This piece belongs to my Montage Series — a process of turning loss into renewal and giving broken pieces a second life.

Mixed media / oil paint / collage on wood.

Slide 4
In a world where tradition often trumps desire, two young souls dared to fall in love. But their happiness was short-lived, as the weight of arranged marriage expectations threatened to tear them apart.

She took a leap of faith, following her heart to be with him. But his family’s refusal to accept their love left her shattered. The wounds of rejection ran too deep, and she vowed never to love again.

Yet, from the ashes of heartbreak, a phoenix rose. She channeled her pain into passion, pouring her energy into a thriving career. Today, she stands as a testament to resilience — a successful, independent woman who has rewritten her own destiny.

Forbidden Love found its forever home with a kindred spirit, a woman who felt an inexplicable connection to its emotional resonance. As she gazed upon the canvas, she saw her own story reflected back — a tale of love, loss, and liberation.

The painting had spoken directly to her soul, validating her own experiences and emotions. It was as if the artwork had been waiting for her, its message meant solely for her heart.

Now, the painting resides with its new owner, serving as a reminder of her journey.

"Untouched" by Alma Faham @almafaham as part of "The Fortune Cookie Project" exhibition curated by @catherinevanaria, now on view in our gallery through September 25, 2026. Alma Faham is an abstract artist of Syrian and Jordanian heritage. Born and raised in Kuwait until sixteen, she later lived in Syria, Jordan, Greece and California. Holding a BA in Architectural engineering, Alma pursued her passion for painting, jewelry design and mosaic art. She also serves as Commissioner for the City of Danbury, Connecticut.

Artists were given a fortune cookie to use as a prompt and interpret however they chose, and both the prompt and artwork are printed together on Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper. The exhibition runs 8:30 am - 5 pm Monday through Friday and there is a full color exhibition catalog available. For more information please see our website. #ctart #ctgallery by @almafaham

As always …. You and me against the world ❤️❤️ by @almafaham

Sometimes, just when I’m having a difficult day or feeling a little low, a single photograph can completely change my mood.

This was one of those moments.

Seeing these three beautiful women standing beside my artwork at the Fortune Cookie Project exhibition at Still River Edition was such an unexpected and heartfelt surprise. Their kindness, support, and the simple gesture of sending me this photo reminded me why art is so much more than what hangs on a wall; it’s about the connections it creates and the people it brings into our lives.

To these wonderful and special people , thank you for making my day brighter than you know. Your thoughtfulness means the world to me. ❤️#art #exhibition #fortunecookie #print #creativity by @almafaham

Dreamtimes opening at Galeria Azur NY. 157 Bowery street. The exhibition remains open for visitors till 9/24/2026.

It was an unforgettable evening filled with inspiring conversations, extraordinary talent, and remarkable artwork. I’m grateful to have been part of such a vibrant exhibition and to share this special evening with Vini, Gallery Director at Galleria Azur, and so many gifted artists.

A heartfelt thank you to Penelope Peralta for these stunning photographs, and to Vini and the entire Galleria Azur team for creating such a beautiful opening and an inspiring exhibition. It was truly a celebration of creativity, connection, and the power of art. #nyc #art #exhibition #gallery #paintings @GALERIAAZUR @penelopeperalta.photo @galeriaazur.newyork taken in Galeria Azur New York by @almafaham
