I sent this commission off a few days ago, and while every commission holds a special meaning, this one feels particularly close to the heart.

Created for three siblings, this piece belongs to my A Cup of Something series, a reflection on the moments we share, the space we hold in each other’s lives, and the bonds that remain, even as life takes us in different directions.

Within each cup, a die holds a different number, representing a different moment, a different path, a different chapter in life. Because although each of our journeys will be our own, there will always be something that connects us.

And sometimes, all it takes is a cup of something to remind us that, no matter where life takes us, we can always share a piece of each other. by @almalkiatelier

The inevitable chance| 32”x 24” | SOLD

Framed - Oil pastels, soft pastels, and acrylics on canvas

A table we did not set.
A game already in motion before we arrived.
The dice hold everything beyond our control, time, loss, encounter, fate.
Not as luck, but as the quiet structure of life itself by @almalkiatelier

The way of woman | 40”x40” - Framed - SOLD

Women walk before us carrying memory, culture, and vision, echoing our grandmothers and all those who came before. In their braids and garments lives a quiet language of resilience, beauty, and strength. They do not look back, because their path always moves forward into possibility. Their presence reminds us that women do not simply live within history, they shape it, carry it, and pass it on, leaving a light for those who will follow. by @almalkiatelier

I’ve grown deeply attached to this piece, and tomorrow, I’m excited to make it officially available.

Sisterhood has always held a quiet place in my heart, the unspoken understanding, the shared moments, the memories that pass from one woman to another.

There is something timeless in the way women gather, witness, and carry pieces of one another’s stories.

Perhaps that is what this piece holds for me: a moment of sisterhood, suspended in time. by @almalkiatelier
