My final task started from my curiosity about cyanotype. I found it interesting because cyanotype can capture images in a very unique and detailed way.

At first, I wasn’t sure what visual subject to choose. Then, while visiting my hometown and reminiscing about my childhood and how i love playing traditional games. Then I realized that it’s rare to see children playing traditional games these days. Even many adults no longer introduce these games to younger generations.

The realization brings me here. Through cyanotype, I want to document and reintroduce traditional games as a way of preserving cultural heritage.

It started with gathering research papers, learning the basics of cyanotype, experimenting with adding salt, attending TA supervision sessions, visual explore, and interviewing Komunitas Hong. Omg time really flew by, didn’t it?

A special thank you to Komunitas Hong for taking the time to be part of my research and give me insights that incredibly valuable and inspiring for my final task.

This is a behind the scenes for visual production process for Kaulinan Barudak.

A huge thanks to Piti, Manda, Milah, Nanas, Agis, Hikmal, Ido, Acel, Abin, Irzy, and Thifal for all your help throughout the process. This project wouldn’t have been the same without you guys. It was so much fun getting to play traditional games again!

it’s the time of the semester!

*inhale & exhale*
So, this is my journey or recap from the fourth semester. What a roller coaster journey. However, i found so many new things and stepping out from my comfort zone. For instance i made unisex designs for my college assignment.

anyway, even though i was ‘tumbang’ at the beginning of the semester but alhamdulillah it’s finally over. There’s so much going on, motorbike accident (((my rearview mirror fell off))), hot wax spilled onto my hands and many more. it’s okay tho, it adds ‘spice’ to my life story HAHAHAHA.

that’s it! Hopefully i’ll be better on the next semester. See u!
