It’s time for things to change around here…

I’m now an award-winning filmmaker 🏆

Since setting up Circle Take Films, it’s been a challenge to do anything creative. To find time amidst the foray into self-employment is no easy feat. And making the money to make a film. And making the money to make a living, mind.

What I really rate about @theunit.bradford film challenges is that it doesn’t matter what the kit is, what the scale is, the budget - my favourite short of the night was filmed on an iPhone and put together about two nights prior. You see real creativity, new ways of storytelling and space to give ideas a go. And submissions are just five mins max.

Anyway, I won. My docco ‘Scrum & Scramble’ took home the coveted prize, voted for by the very peers whose work I admired. That’s all very cute, isn’t it. And all in one of the coolest cinemas I’ve ever seen - a converted Argos warehouse in Keighley! Thanks to the team at The Unit for hosting and giving us the space to do something fun.

So I can now call myself award-winning - and it won’t be a lie this time. Scroll down on my page for the trailer - full thing dropping soon.
