This winter was more about skis than ice tools, at least until a temporary intermission put the season on hold. A subtle reminder that even the smallest bones can pull the emergency brake.
But quantity doesn’t equal quality. The mountains have a way of healing and humbling us when we least expect it. Seeing my kiddo embracing mountain culture and mentoring him into a responsible, respectful, and competent mountain partner and maiden voyage to “the greatest snow on earth”—has been the highlight of this winter season 🍾❄️
I can’t wait to be back in the natural world flying, mentoring, celebrating, suffering, laughing, and crying with @arcteryxnewyork and the mountain mafia near and far once again 🚀 by @almostalpine

Since November 27, 2010 Thanksgiving has been a holiday that I look forward to the most. Particularly this year as it coincides with my kiddos 15th birthday. This Thanksgiving, I’ve been reflecting, reminiscing and realizing how alike we are, a carbon copy. Showcased in “CarbonCopy” gallery by very talented @acinthemind and supported by @arcteryxwashingtondc that I’m very thankful for the opportunity. And of course, thankful to the Mountain Mafia near and far! Happy Thanksgiving and Sto Lat! #carboncopy by @almostalpine

Like the morning mist, we are here today, gone tomorrow.
Our memory is a faint reflection on a pond; waiting to fade away.

When the mist fades and takes me with it, will my memory remain?

How precious my time is. How will I use it?

Questions that define us…

What are we running from and/or what are we running towards?

In this shot, Piotr was running in the French Alps after #UTMB in preparation for the #grindstonetrailrunningfestival 100k race. It’s inspiring to see the dedication required to run such a distance.

It’s breathtaking moments like these when I stop for a moment, thank God for air in my lungs, and consider what direction I’m going in life.

#paragliding in the background!!! 🔥

Climbing the classic Cosmique Areté on Mont Blanc. This is September conditions 😆 Such a fun, classic climb.

The best part was the coincidence that @almostalpine was in Chamonix at the same time and we were able to link up for a few days of outdoor fun.
