our new house! an empty house tour— she’s got low ceilings, tiny doorways, no AC, but sooo much potential and we are truly obsessed with our own magical little sliver of river!!

still can’t believe this is all real. can you imagine this view in autumn!!!!???

THE CUTEST CAKE TABLE! was honestly shocked how easy this was to put together (prob only took me an hour?) and wow she’s a showstopper 🍰

if you want the supplies just comment CAKE and i’ll send em over!

i used seamless paper for a clean surface top but you could totally use dollar store gift wrap too

the perfect halloween movie watchlist! from someone who watches scary movies all year long, not just in october 💀

i have lots more recs but these are some of the movies that scared the crap out of me the most— mixed in with some campy fun ones so it’s not just a total bummer!

hush — old school mike flanagan (that’s his wife!) she’s deaf and there’s a lurker outside

black christmas — i swear this is one of the scariest of all time because he isn’t some guy in a mask he’s so so much creepier

cabin in the woods — one of my all time faves. so scary and also so fun and weird and wonderful

you’re next — so underrated, scary clever and fun

the autopsy of jane doe — actually wasn’t expecting to like this as much as i did but it’s very very creepy!

late night with the devil — this one stuck with me after, so unsettling and fun 70s vibes lol

happy death day — i LOVE a genre mashup. this is a slasher meets groundhog day!

house of the devil — more vintage vibes, slow burn panic horror and my fave greta gerwig

veronica — an eerie spanish possession movie that was genuinely so scary

freaky — another genre bender! slasher meets body swapping movie what more could you want?

haunt — omg this movie messed me up. i don’t know why this scared me so much but I COULD NOT SLEEP!

send help — just such a fun watch. old school sam raimi! loved every minute

housebound — haunted house movie from new zealand that just keeps getting weirder

bloody hell — an australian horror-comedy that’s super bloody, funny, and just gets more and more wild as it goes on

barbarian — another twisty ride you don’t expect to end up where it does

oculus — another oldie by mike flanagan, psychological creepy one that keeps you guessing

it’s what’s inside — a super stylish and fun body swapping twisty wild ride of chaos (was that a sentence?)

i checked and 16/17 of these are streaming!!!

also i have lots more horror faves if you enjoy this one 🖤 scary movies kids can handle next??? by @almostmakesperfect

a custom yoto card mixtape! izzy loves a dance party and all her jams, so i feel like this is the perfect gift i could make for her (also a pink disco ball is wrapped 😆)

i tried to make this video as thorough as i could so I’m sorry it’s long!

— choose your songs from youtube and use a youtube downloaded to get the audio files (i used macx youtube downloader) some links won’t work if they’re protected, the lyric karaoke ones are great

— on the yoto website, create a playlist and import all your songs

— i used a simple template on canva to create the album art (i just did a business card design since they’re same size) then i printed on some label paper i had.

— on the yoto app you can sync the blank “create your own” card with your playlist (these come in a pack of 10 and cost far less than normal cards!)

— for the icons that i couldn’t find in the yoto icon library, i downloaded them from yotoicons.com! there are lots of websites where you can download them or make your own. this one seemed to have everything I was looking for!

— you can edit it as many times as you want, which is great because I just remembered three songs yesterday i needed to add!!

any questions!?

last xmas i took a voice memo of izzy “reading” the elf movie book and i meant to turn it into a yoto card, now i feel like i need to!! taken in Connecticut Shoreline by @almostmakesperfect

the SPOOOOKIEST tomato cage ghosts! their (very simple) glowing eyes really put it over the edge!! sorry in advance if you get nightmares.

comment SPOOKY and i’ll send the links to make your own… IF YOU DARE

you can use these year after year 👻 i used flat sheets but tablecloths would work well too!

easy halloween decorations, spooky porch ideas

12 years married today! feels like a zillion. so many hairdos! and coffee tables! very very grateful for a likeminded-new england-idolizing-ride or die who was just willing to redo our life because i’m guessing a lot of people wouldn’t. here’s an annual trip down memory lane with some of my fave pics through the many many years. by @almostmakesperfect

izzy’s room 🌸

some new additions— a floor length mirror (she wanted one so so badly) and some new art above her dresser that reminds me of us on our river 🥹 i also found her cherry baby mobile and hung it back up.

comment PINK and i’ll send the links for all the things 🌷

still want to add a paper lantern over the little yellow table and I really think she needs a wall shelf for trinket display, but idk where to put it! where could i fit one!?

also, I don’t really know why we still have the rocker from her nursery. i just can’t seem to part with it!!

swipe to the end to see how transformative the pink was!! this room brings me joooooy
