🦉🗯️ SAY YOULL BE THERE!!!

Because we’re gonna be there, along with some incredible artists!!

Each night you will have an opportunity to experience the work of our returning artist, Almost Through April, along side performances from Cam MacGregor, Lou Sementilli, and Scott Yoo Ryu! And the night doesn’t end after these performances!! Join us after the show for a talk back with all these stellar artists. Talk to them about their process, what you liked about their work, and anything else your heart desires. Many of these pieces are still in development, so the artists want to hear from YOU directly. 3 days of music, theatre, reflection and JOY!!!

Sooo… say you’ll be there, at The Slate, October 15 - 17 at The Green (36 James Street, St Catharines).

Tickets on sale NOW! Check the link in our bio :) PWYC tickets will be available at the door, pending seat availability.

Sanguinolency. Addiction to bloodshed. Involuntary. See also: the state or quality of containing, being tinged with, or mixed with blood. This song is about the repeated involvement with one’s own blood. The opening of one’s own wounds in order to combat the numbness they feel. Sanguinolency is written from a place of struggle. A place of feeling like most around you would not even pretend to grieve your absence. That any that did mourn would be doing just that, pretending. Sanguinolency is about release. It’s about escape.

@xselproductionsofficial really helped pull this one together in the end. And @abbymalcolm.xo killed it with this collage as usual. Thanks for being a part of our team 🖤

Sanguinolency is yours now. We hope it brings you some catharsis. Thanks for being here.

Was a blast playing with @downthemiddleband again! We love those guys, and they played an amazing set. If you weren’t there, you missed out! They’re playing at warehouse on the 27th, so be sure to go support!

Thanks to @bts.photography_ for shooting. Stunning shot of both bands as always.

We’re gonna be more active again on here, so stay tuned! by @almostthroughapril

🦉🗯️ OUR FEATURED ARTIST HAS ARRIVEDDDDD

“Almost Through April is an alternative rock band started in St. Catharines, Ontario, comprised of Frankie Turco (Bass), Simon Bell (Drums) and Zakk Milne (Guitar & Vocals). Music has always been a means of coping for them, and their songs attempt to break down their personal lives and experiences into art that speaks to the tragedy of the human condition. They hope you are able to find a piece of yourself in their work.”

We’re so excited to have AtA back this year!!! We love them so much and know you will too… soooooo come see them at The Slate, October 15 - 17 at The Green (36 James Street, St Catharines). We can’t wait to see you there!!!

Hypoxia. The deprivation of oxygen to bodily tissues. Sickness. And isolation. Hypoxia is a song about watching those around you partake in activities that your own body permits you from engaging in. Fighting with the limitations of your form. And as a result feeling isolated, and left out of things. This song started as a poem written in a parking lot. Written toward the end of the writing process of this album, Hypoxia provides a sound that stands out from the rest of the tracks. We love it, and we hope you’ll enjoy it too.

Once again, a huge thank you to @xselproductionsofficial for working on this one with us and to @abbymalcolm.xo for helping us make the artwork.
