Happy 18th Birthday, Alan

I honestly can’t believe you’re 18. It feels like we blinked and suddenly we’re not little kids anymore. We’ve been through so many crazy years together, some filled with joy, others with pain, but through it all, you’ve always been right there. My rock. My best friend.
I don’t really know how to fit 18 years of knowing you into a simple happy birthday post. thank you for being the best little brother i could ask for. life hasn’t always been kind to us, but watching you grow and live your life is the greatest gift i get to witness. I’m so proud of the man you’re becoming. Strong, kind, nurturing. i’ve never been good with words, but even if i was i still don’t think i could describe how grateful i am for you. you saved me in ways you’ll never be able to imagine. Here’s to 18 years of you, and to many more. I love you more than I could ever put into words.
