behind the scenes of capturing 30 Jacob Hermann artifacts for @bruunrasmussen AD by @mariahartmann

Jacob Hermann’s work has a strong focus on material, texture and form, often letting the materials speak for themselves. personally, I’m especially drawn to his use of driftwood .

Recently added a two-person bench from @fdbmobler (annonce) next to our kitchen garden, and it has turned out to be the nicest little seating spot after working in the beds or when neighbors drop by for a chat 🫛

Here, it is caught in the evening sun at 7pm, after a day spent in nature foraging sea buckthorn, mirabelles and Reine Claude plums with my mom and daughter 🌞

Hi 💕🌻📸👋🏼

Sweet like honey 🍯

Strategically placed blueberries for snacking while seated 🫐

Ended up doing two different vinegars with some of the plums, a jar of vanilla/mirabelles jam, and put the sea buckthorn in the freezer, planning to turn them into a compote and sirup, or throw into smoothies for a c-vitamin boost in the colder months.

My first time making vinegar and I cannot believe how easy it is. When spring comes they will be bottled up.

Don’t think I’ve ever shown this view from our kitchen window that overlooks the kitchen garden and the forest in the back 🍃 taken in Denmark by @alonavibe

Some of the richest moments in life are often the simplest ones with your loved ones🌿

Walking through nature with my mum, learning from her vast knowledge of plants, wildlife and everything we can gather along the way. And getting to bring my daughter with us too sharing these moments - that are quickly becoming traditions - across three generations.

It makes me feel incredibly rich… Not in things, but in memories and connection ✨

This time, we came home with sea buckthorn, mirabelles and René Claude plums and I ended up turning some of our harvest into little jars of summer to carry us through the seasons.

I did a yellow Mirabelle jam with vanilla, and two kinds of plum vinegar that are so easy to make that I hope you’ll try it out. It’s also better than any store bought ones. And lastly I froze the sea buckthorn for a vitamin C boost and citrusy/tart flavor in the winter.

Nature gives us so much. Thank you mom 🌱❤️

Btw, as I mentioned in the video my my is a certified forest bathing guide in Denmark, and you can reach her here if you need it for your next event @vestergaardmyrup

🌞 PLUM VINEGAR:

Plums covered with water, a couple of spoonfuls of sugar and a generous splash of unfiltered organic vinegar with the mother. Covered with a cloth and left to ferment until next spring.

We spent 24 hours in Brussels to see @badbunnypr perform the final show of the DTMF World Tour, and I genuinely think it altered my brain chemistry a little.

Ever contemplated traveling with a friend just to see a concert? Do it.

(Especially if its a Bad Bunny concert lol)

65,000 people, yet Benito has this incredible ability to make a stadium feel intimate and connect with the hearts of so many. It was everything.

We laughed, were moved, felt euphoric, and danced for two and a half hours straight.

Even after the show, and all throughout the next day, the city was bad bunny buzzing. Everywhere I looked, people were blasting his music from cars, proudly wearing tour merch, rewatching videos from the night before. as if no one was ready for it to be over. Everyone seemed to be processing what we had experienced together, trying to hold onto the feeling for as long as possible.

I felt deeply connected to the 65,000 people around me, all sharing the same experience. Then it hit me: across the entire world tour, around 2.5 million people experienced that same feeling together. And that’s not even counting everyone who wanted to be there but couldn’t.

This experience will stay with me forever. I think many of us are carrying the weight of the world these days, some more than others of course. And standing in a crowd of people from all over the world, united through music, was like medicine at a time when so many voices are trying to convince us that we’re divided and that we hate one another.

Go to the things. Travel with your friends. Connect with your people. Dance. Enjoy this beautiful life.
Gracias, Benito. 🤍

A glimpse into a a life with secondary infertility

—

Monday, our incredible daughter turned six.

We celebrated her, laughed, played, sang, ate cake, and made memories. I wasn’t distracted by infertility. I wasn’t counting what I didn’t have. I was simply her mum celebrating my girl who made me a mother.

And then the day ended. She went to bed. Dad tucked her in. The house became quiet. I sat down on the sofa…

…and I cried.

If you’ve never experienced secondary infertility this probably doesn’t make much sense.

How can one of the coziest and happiest days of the year also be so hard? I’ve spent the past couple of days thinking and analyzing my feelings. Ended up concluding that birthdays don’t just celebrate another year of your child’s life.

They also loudly remind you of the years that have passed.

Another year of hoping. Waiting. Another year of wondering if your family will ever become the family you imagined.

People often assume that because you already have a child, the grief isn’t as deep. Or think it shouldn’t be.

But secondary infertility is its own kind of heartbreak.

It’s loving the family I have with every part of me, while grieving the family I thought we would become.

This monday, I wasn’t crying because she turned six.

I cried because somewhere along the way, I thought she’d be celebrating with a younger sibling by now.

I almost didn’t post this because. Private and I don’t want anyone to think I’m not also incredibly happy and thankful but..

That dream deserves to be acknowledged too and I think many going through this might relate.
Not because it takes anything away from the love I have for her.
But because two things can be true at the same time.

I can be overwhelmingly grateful…and deeply heartbroken.

When we design kitchens at Kallesø Arkitekter, every detail is considered as part of a greater whole. Some products simply fulfil a function. Others become part of the architecture. That is why we often choose Toni Copenhagen.

Their designs are timeless rather than trend-driven. They are rooted in craftsmanship, honest materials and the belief that products should last for generations. They can be maintained, repaired and cared for, and their form is always shaped by function. These are values that resonate deeply with our own architectural approach.

This kitchen forms part of the renovation of an original 1960s Høm house in Aarhus. Rather than introducing something foreign, our ambition was to continue the architectural language of the house.

A new sliding kitchen hatch, inspired by traditional mid-century serving hatches, creates a flexible connection between the kitchen and living room while feeling as though it has always belonged there. Smoked and patinated larch, stainless steel details and Toni Copenhagen’s Cross Handle faucet in polished nickel come together as one cohesive composition.

In a project where every material, proportion and junction has been carefully considered, the faucet should never feel like an accessory. It should feel like part of the architecture.

Paris! it’s been 15 years since I last visited. I was just a teenager back then and now I’m back with my own little family. I completely forgot just how beautiful every corner is in this city.

It was our daughter’s first time here - unfortunately our trip was timed with the insane heatwave in Europe forcing us to spend more time at the hotel than we had planned to…

but in the grand scheme of things just so grateful for the core memories made: daily shared Parisian bistro deserts, baby girl’s first room service dinner in the city of love and the magic of Disneyland! taken in Paris, France by @alonavibe
