We’re excited to feature @alongmirewriter and @williamthazard at Illuminate Passyunk on October 2nd!

Warren (he/him) is a poet, performer, educator, and creator. William (he/him) makes poetry with computers. Together, they have created “Text me”, an interactive installation that uses live transcription and generative audio to explore a fascinating narrative of heartbreak and renewal.

What's good y'all and happy...is it fall yet? It feels like... no. But soon.

Anyway, the pick is from The Blank Placard Brigade, a very inspring piece of performance art at I had the pleasure to perform in along with @theoriginalison, @daniellelevsky and a full cast of 30 marching across Philadelphia last weekend.

I have ONE other fringe appearance before another round of busy fall events... I'll be opening on Monday at 7pm for the wildly talented Logan Phillips @dirtyverbs for a second presentation Reckon, his new intermedia poetry project focus on growth, queerness and the myth of the American West. I saw it yesterday at Taller Puertorriqueno @tallerpr and was blown away. Can't wait to dive deeper in.

Then, next Wednesday I'll be on the production side for the first of three @moonstoneartscenter events celibrating the life of John William Coltrane. This one includes the music, poetry and words of sax player @elliottlevin01, drummer @karensmithdrums and scholar @anyabwilelove.

Signup close on my new documentary poetics class with @bluestoopphl next month, featuring colaborations with the Temple Archives and the @muttermuseum.

Shouts to the @illuminatephilly for giving me a wall at their Projection Art festival up and down passyunk on Friday, October 2nd! More my project with @williamthazard on that soon...

And just to get to end here... NIGHT OF THE LIVING POETS IS COMING!!! October 17th. It's gonna be crazy! All of the @theperch_musicandarts_workshop. All day long. 6 events, 2 djs, typewriter poets, the works. It's gonna be amazing. register today!
