🇳🇵🙏💟❤️ 43 DAYS. HUNDREDS OF FACES. THOUSANDS OF QUESTIONS. AND I STILL CAN’T LOOK AWAY.

This is my command center.

On August 27, 2026, I started helping families searching for their loved ones after the devastating Nepal disaster.

I thought I was helping a few people.

43 days later, my walls are covered with faces.

Every photograph represents a human being. Someone’s baby. Someone’s mother. Someone’s father. Someone who was laughing, loving, and living before everything changed.

I’ve spent countless hours researching records, comparing photographs, creating identification sketches with AI, and working alongside incredible volunteers across the world.

I’ve cried at this desk. I’ve questioned myself. I’ve wanted to walk away because sometimes the heartbreak feels unbearable.

But then I think about the families.

I get to turn off my computer. They don’t get to turn off their grief. 💔

The faces on my walls are blurred to protect their dignity and their families.

And that little message on my wall?

“We need your presence and your voice. Thank you for existing.”

That’s what I wish I could tell every single person we’re searching for.

To Gaby and every volunteer who has helped me, thank you. I could never do this alone.

What used to take me three years, I accomplished in 30 days. Not because I stopped thinking. Because I finally had access. I used to have to beg for forensic sketches, DNA funding, experts, and resources I simply couldn’t afford.
