On Friday September 25th the Gamma Kappa chapter held its annual Miss Black and Old Gold pageant. Five contestants competed for the crown but only one took the crown home.

On September 22nd, the Beta Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. hosted a Meet the Queens event, giving the Royal Court an opportunity to connect with the campus community and introduce themselves in a fashionable and memorable manner.

The Royal Court includes Miss Black & Gold, Tianna Harris; Miss Black, Promise Brown; and last, but certainly not least, Miss Gold, Christin Mitchell. Each queen represented with grace, confidence, and excellence, making the event a memorable celebration of this year’s Royal Court. As part of the event, the queens also distributed candy along with uplifting affirmations in recognition of Suicide Awareness and Prevention, encouraging students to spread positivity, support one another, and remember that their lives and voices matter.

Alongside the celebration, the brothers of Beta Upsilon emphasized the importance of civic engagement and voting within our community, reinforcing A Voteless People Is a Hopeless People. 🤙🏾 by @alphabama_
