“I would die for my partner.”

Okay, but would you…

LIVE better for them?

Would you change the habits holding you back?

Would you take your health seriously?

Would you confront the past traumas you still need to heal?

Would you choose patience over pride?

Would you make time when life gets chaotic?

Would you become the person your promises require?

Everyone talks about dying for the person they love.

But what about LIVING for them?

Not just for one day.

But for all the ordinary days that make up a lifetime. by @alphallclarke

Start now. Start where you are. Start with fear. Start with pain. Start with doubt. Start with hands shaking. Start with voice trembling but start. Start and don’t stop. Start where you are, with what you have. Just... start. by @alphallclarke

The work matters. But these are the moments that give the work meaning. 🍃 by @alphallclarke

We did a thing this summer. 🦾

Not because we had more time.

Not because life magically became easier.

And definitely not because we were motivated every day.

This summer included 24-hour Coast Guard shifts, family events, travel, date nights, long workdays, and plenty of moments where skipping the workout would’ve been the easier choice.

The difference wasn’t discipline.

It was alignment.

Instead of trying to optimize everything, we committed to one shared mission: become the healthiest version of ourselves.

From there, every decision became simpler.

**Does this move us closer to the mission... or farther away?**

That’s the question that guided our summer.

We didn’t obsess over the scale.

We focused on the lead measures we could actually control:

✅ Complete the workout.

✅ Hit our calories and protein.

✅ Recover well.

✅ Repeat tomorrow.

Those aren’t exciting.

They’re not flashy.

But they’re the behaviors that compound into results.

Looking back, the physiques are the least interesting part of this journey.

The real win was building a system we could sustain together, even while life kept happening.

If you’re trying to get healthier with your spouse or partner, don’t wait for motivation.

Get aligned on one mission.

Build your life around the behaviors that move you toward it.

The results will follow.

The older I get, the more I realize it’s never really about the venue, the food, the drinks, or even the food scale stashed in my wife’s purse (in case I decide to deviate from the plan 👊🏾)…

It’s about the people, the memories, and the experiences that stay with you long after the night is over. by @alphallclarke

Another 365 around the sun. With this one… change was inevitable.

This past year gave me both sides of life

moments that filled my cup…

and moments that emptied it completely.

I’ve experienced wins I once prayed for.

And I’ve faced losses that forced me to slow down, reflect, and feel deeper than I ever have before.

What I’ve come to understand is this..

growth doesn’t come from comfort.

It comes from what you carry… and still choose to move forward with.

I’ve learned to appreciate the people around me more.

To speak what matters.

To show love while there’s still time.

To not assume tomorrow is promised.

And through it all..

I’m still here.

Still building.

Still becoming.

Grateful for every lesson.

Grateful for every person who’s been part of this journey.

Grateful for the strength I didn’t know I had.

This next year…

I move with more intention, more presence, and a deeper respect for life itself.

More to come (P.S. thank you everyone for the birthday wishes).

Cancer’s a motherfucker.
I’ve pulled people out of water.
I’ve responded to vessel fires… explosions.
I’ve seen trauma.
I’ve felt pain.
But watching someone you love slowly fade…
that’s a different battlefield entirely.
That kind of pain is quiet.
It settles inward.
The kind of scars no one sees.
Because the man I watched drift away…was the same man who, when I think of him in one word, is simple:
Love.
Not loud love.
Not performative love.
Just powerful love.
The kind that made people feel equal.
No one beneath him.
No one above him.
Even when we had very little growing up, we still had what mattered most.
Love.
Laughter.
Family.
And somehow… that was always enough.
Before he passed, I asked him how he wanted to be remembered.
He said something simple:
“I just want people to remember that I tried my best.”
And I told him something I hope he carried with him:
His best was more than enough for me, & everyone he loved sincerely.
The discomfort I feel saying all this
is nothing compared to what anyone battling cancer feels.
Not even close.
Energy doesn’t disappear.
It transforms.
And his energy… lives on.
I love you paps.
Thank you for making life more meaningful. 🖤🕊️ by @alphallclarke
