How does a one-man holster shop compete with companies that have 70 employees and millions of dollars behind them?

Apparently, we talk shit.
That’s the strategy.

Talk a little shit. Nip at their heels. Keep making holsters. Stay relevant. Repeat.
Are the big guys worried about us?
Probably not.

Are we going to keep reminding them we’re here?
Absolutely.

Because we might not have 70 employees, a giant marketing department, or a boardroom full of people making decisions.

We’ve just got one guy, a shop, and a mouth that apparently doesn’t know when to quit.

Seems to be working so far.

A little shop time for the crew at @jacobgreyfirearms.

These builds are always a good reminder of why we like doing this stuff. Good gear, good people, and a chance to build something that’s actually going to get used.

Big thanks to Jacob Grey Firearms for trusting Alpha Omega Kustoms to handle the holsters.

We appreciate the business, but more than that, we appreciate the relationship.

Sometimes you’ve gotta take it old school.

@jtarticle15 reached out about making @heatherlynnoh a holster for a Crunchwrap Supreme, and there wasn’t exactly a mold sitting on the shelf.

So I bought a Crunchwrap, laid it on the press, figured out the angles, made my own retention spacers, and built the damn thing.

And yes, it actually worked.

Best part was talking to Heather afterward and realizing she had no idea I was the one who made it.

A bunch of people asked if we were making more.

Nope.

One-off birthday gift. One of one.

Thanks JT for bringing us the idea, and thanks Heather for giving us an excuse to build one of the weirdest holsters to ever leave the shop.

Somewhere along the way, customer service became a chatbot.

We’re not doing that.

You send Alpha Omega Kustoms an email, there’s a good chance I’m the one answering it. You’ve got a question, an issue, or just need to figure something out? I’ll pick up the phone and call you.

Because getting your money, shipping a holster, and forgetting you exist isn’t how you build a business.

We want you to come back. We want you to tell your buddies about us. And we want you to know there’s still an actual person standing behind what we make.

Some companies get big and forget where they came from.

We’re trying real hard not to be one of them.

Sometimes you get the call and just have to make it happen.

Jacob Grey Firearms had an event coming up and needed some gear turned around on a tight timeline. We were happy to jump in, get to work, and help make sure they were ready to go.

Appreciate Jacob Grey Firearms and @toddneice trusting Alpha Omega Kustoms when the clock was ticking.

Good luck out there, fellas.

Let’s talk retention.

Your Alpha Omega Kustoms holster gives you the ability to dial it in exactly where you want it.

Light-bearing holster? Retention is grabbing the light.

Non-light-bearing? It’s grabbing the trigger guard.

Those adjustment screws are there for a reason. Start small, make quarter-turn adjustments, and find the sweet spot that works for YOU.

Because here’s the part people need to hear:

Retention is on you!

We build the holster with the adjustment you need. How tight or loose you run it comes down to your setup, your preference, and how you use your gear.

Tune it. Test it. Run it.

Leather or Kydex?

Yeah… we’re not exactly neutral on this one.

Leather looks good. Leather has history. But when it comes to a holster you’re actually going to use every day, we want something that stays rigid, keeps its shape, and does its job.

So if you’re asking us?

Kydex. All day.

Still want to argue about it? Come on. We’ve got time.

Everybody starts somewhere.

My first holster?

Absolute dog shit. 😂

And no, before you ask, you’re probably never going to see it. Those early masterpieces are staying buried in a box where they belong.

But that’s kind of the point.

You don’t get good at this by waking up one morning and magically knowing what you’re doing. You build. You screw things up. You learn. You build another one. Then another one. Eventually, you look back and realize you’ve come a hell of a long way.

So if you want to see what all those ugly first attempts eventually turned into…
