DAY 4: YOUR BACK ISN’T MADE OF GLASS. When your back feels sore, it’s understandable to want to stop everything. For many common episodes of back pain, staying gently active and adjusting activities is more helpful than prolonged bed rest. 🚶 Try short, comfortable walks 🔄 Change positions regularly 📉 Temporarily scale back demanding activities 📈 Build back towards your usual routine gradually You don’t have to push through everything. If pain is worsening or you’re unsure what’s appropriate, get advice. Today’s takeaway: a flare-up may call for an adjusted plan: not abandoning movement altogether. DAY 3: GIVE YOUR BODY SOMETHING TO BUILD ON. Walking counts. Dancing counts. Strength training counts. You don’t need a complicated routine to get started. 💪 Regular activity and gradually building strength are useful parts of looking after your body. Choose something that suits your current ability, start with a manageable amount and build from there. Today’s challenge: put one realistic movement session in your calendar. Something you’ll actually do. What’s your pick? Walking, swimming, the gym or a mountain adventure? DAY 2: THE DESK ISN’T GOING ANYWHERE. YOU CAN. Ever sit down to answer one email… then look up two hours later? 😅 A comfortable workspace helps, but movement belongs in the workday too. 💻 Bring the screen somewhere comfortable to view 🖱️ Keep frequently used items within easy reach 🔄 Alternate tasks and positions 🚶 Take a short walk between blocks of work Today’s challenge: choose a regular cue - finishing a call, sending an invoice or refilling your water - to get moving. Desk workers: what makes you forget to take a break? Alpine Alignment Chiropractic 📍 Berridale • Jindabyne 📞 0466 792 831 🌐 alpinealignment.com.au by @alpine_alignment
World Spine Day Series! In light of World Spine Day this Friday, We’re sharing five days of practical spine-health habits! DAY 1: YOUR SPINE LIKES OPTIONS. First up, permission to stop sitting like a statue. 🗿 You don’t need to hold one “perfect” position all day. Try changing things up: 🚶 Walk while taking a phone call 🪑 Adjust your sitting position 🙌 Stand up between tasks Today’s challenge: use your next coffee break as a movement break, too. Save this series, we’ve got a fresh tip coming tomorrow. Alpine Alignment Chiropractic 📍 Berridale • Jindabyne 📞 0466 792 831 🌐 alpinealignment.com.au by @alpine_alignment

The kids call it a school-holiday adventure. Your body may call it carrying children, bikes, scooters, bags, snacks and everything but the kitchen sink. 😅 (sometimes even the kitchen sink ⛺️) A few simple strategies can make busy days easier: 🎒 Use a backpack and share the load 🚲 Take two trips instead of attempting one heroic trip 🧒 Bring children close before lifting ↔️ Swap carrying sides regularly 🚗 Break up longer drives with a little movement It isn’t only about backs and necks—repeated carrying and awkward lifting can also load the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and knees. Perfect posture isn’t the goal. Giving your body variety, sharing the load and moving regularly is far more realistic. If pain isn’t settling, follows an injury, or comes with weakness, numbness or swelling, it may be worth having it assessed. We have some appointments in both locations this week. 📍 Berridale 📍 Jindabyne 📞 0466 792 831 🌐 Book online at www.alpinealignment.com.au #AlpineAlignment #SchoolHolidaySurvival #Jindabyne #Berridale #SnowyMountainsChiropractic by @alpine_alignment
