Crossed paths with this @lordgodoliver hammer I lent to my @slcdrumcircle buddy jerrybitch. JB isn’t a man of many pipes and he’s densely filled this piece in from can to mouthpiece. He won’t shy away from putting a knife into a bowl to scrape out resin and raves about the function and hand feel of this hammer which are observations I share about the artists work. Like many of Oliver’s pieces, this hammer is simple and unpretentious but has an ineffable enchantment about it and is a total workhorse. by @alpinestoner

Small medium/large small hammer by @bt_glass . When I was traveling through Eugene on my way to the Oregon coast I stopped by Brad’s house in 2025 and immediately fell in love with this hammer. Apparently Brad liked it too because he had already started using it. he willingly sold me this bench piece which I only recently cleaned the bowl and discovered the silvery implosion. I’m still slowly filling it in and look forward to cleaning it someday and seeing what it looks like without any resin. It reminds me of Monet’s water lilies. But what I love most about this piece is it’s function. It is a total pocket piece but fills the hand comfortably and smokes beautifully. I wanted to wait to clean it before posting photos, but given it’s the artist’s birthday, I had to express my gratitude for one of my favorite pieces. Nfa thank you @bobsnodgrass1946 by @alpinestoner

Atypical base color from @bt_glass that really gives this small 2026 hammer island vibes. Through his work, Brad’s taught me a lot about organic flow in lapworking and the unique feel this imparts to both the form and function. More than just a nod to @bobsnodgrass1946 for pioneering it all, Brad‘s work always captures the deep mysteries that live in the state of presence influenced by the wild forces of nature! That said, this piece is pretty dialed in terms of symmetry and balance. The fuchsia, greens, Gold and gray hues are right at home in the rich biodiversity of the tropics. by @alpinestoner

@bt_glass 23 vs 24 micro Sherlock. I am ceaselessly amazed at the function of this small piece. It is masterly crafted; never burns my nose and can still be lit with a magnifying lens while it’s held effortlessly hands-free. A generously sized bowl that stays lit from greens to ashes. This photo was taken then immediately posted whilst in the woods on a spring’s winter day—at just the right spot where I could get reception. Special thanks to @witchdrx. Love. by @alpinestoner
