POSTS STORIES REELS

The city wore purple that December night,
as if even the buildings knew
there were feelings I could not name.

Cold air moved between the towers,
traffic glowing beneath them
red lights, white lights,
thousands of lives passing by

And there I was,
somewhere between the noise of the city
and the silence inside myself,
when a soul gave me a gift.

Not something measured by its price,
not something December could wrap in paper,
but something rarer
the feeling of being understood
without having to explain.

You knew exactly where my heart was then.
You saw the things I kept behind my smile,
the weight beneath my quiet,
and somehow chose a gift
that said everything I couldn’t.

I still remember those purple lights,
how they painted the cold night warm,
how the city kept moving
while, for one small moment,
time seemed to stay with me.

Maybe that is why
I never forgot that December.

Not because of the skyline,
or the lights,
or even the gift itself

but because in a city
filled with millions of windows,
millions of stories,
and millions of strangers,

one soul looked at mine
and somehow knew
exactly how it felt. #poems #cozyhomevibes #poemsociety #poemsbyme #purplelights by @alreem91qa
