this one incredible distorted pic of me farting around on my phone, taken by one of my kids on an iPad, reappears every couple of weeks, usually if I catch myself taking myself too seriously. so naturally I had to get inky with it and, #newprofilepic. I hate how much I love it.

unfinished sticker art for @unclemikesvintage , repurposed as a tribute for reasons still unfathomable 💔

when I started sketching this up for @unclemikesvintage a few months ago, I was thinking about surprise visiting him at the shop last summer (2️⃣) and verifying to my deep relief that the “Field of Dreams” pot leaf shirt (3️⃣) that he bought(?) from one of the countless grimy tshirt shops in Daytona Beach when we stopped there on tour in 2006 was still in his possession. in my browsing, I was hoping that maybe he had a River Rats (4️⃣, iykyk) shirt, a Joe Camel shirt from the Camel Cash catalog (why’d my mom have to quit before we had enough points for one?), or that he’d managed to make it back to Daytona to pick up that “Choppers and Floppers” shirt, or any other of the venerable masterpieces in the ‘motorcycles + busty women’ sub-genre of souvenir tees, or the very least managed to relocate the rainbow puka shell stress bracelet that I *definitely* didn’t lift from a 7/11 for the hell of it…

after admonishing me for picking out a 50 year old pack of pencils (5️⃣) as my wholly undeserved freebie (“I’m not letting you f👽king walk out of here with just a pack of pencils”), he manifested a shirt he knew probably wouldn’t ever fit my corporeal body, but was more a more perfect spiritual fit than I could have ever imagined (6️⃣, again, iykyk). he truly wouldn’t let me leave without it.

Mike made a livelihood of doing these little magic tricks for people that will stick with them forever. Losing him still feels like a crime.

“NOT WITHOUT MY GARBAGE BOWL” is an 8-page mini zine exploring my relationship with cooking via a vis my particular flavor of ADHD, an experience that varies between deeply meditative and comically harrowing.

This mini zine was drawn in pen and ink (and whiteout) and laid out by hand, as is tradition, and finished off with some filth from @truegrittexturesupply 🌱
