Renovation our 1896 Victorian house with zero skills. A mix of DIY and calling in the pros. Bare with I have 4 years to catch you up with!

Giving this 1927 wardrobe another century.
Our Facebook marketplace find came with faded and cracked varnish and not the condition we expected.
Behind the interior mirror was a 1927 newspaper and suddenly it felt worth saving.
After a lot of sanding we found beautiful burl wood veneer.
Refinished in @osmo_uk and ready for its next life.

Found the perfect vintage washstand that fitted the green scheme for an ensuite bathroom. Unfortunately it didn’t fit! But we made it work!

This is your sign … pick the green paint. Choosen without hesitation by my daughter for her bedroom and en-suite 💚

We didn’t anticipate the time it would demand to restore our 120 year old Victorian cornice. 4 months of restoration and a lot more patience than we expected.

Floor update, wait till the end. We couldn’t resist going dark 🤎 we did this all by ourselves and if we can do can anyone!

One of the best upgrades in our Victorian renovation—shutters + blackout blinds. Living on a busy road means we really appreciate the calm 🤍

🔥 Fireplace Transformation 🔥
our original cast iron fireplace in our Victorian home… brought back to life 🖤
Tips .. put klingstrip @stripperspaintremovers on super thick and use a wire brush on a drill to speed up the process. Many hours went into this but it is so worth it.

I chose smaller marble bedside tables rather than something bulky. The bed is quite substantial so remains the hero of the space.
