The scholars had the opportunity to ask Her Excellence questions directly about her journey from the American South to Ghana. They received a direct call to action and her expectations of them, as now REPRESENTATIVES of the 6th Region of The Sixth Region Flag: A Symbol of Unity & Heritage . 🤍💛💚🖤🌍Every color, every symbol-deeply rooted in African heritage-tells the story of the diaspora’s connection to the continent. From the guiding Sankofa to the unifying Duafe, this flag represents the RESILIENCE, CULTURE, and the FUTURE of Africans worldwide.🚌🚏📍Followed by a visit to the W.E.B Du Bois Center ( @webduboiscenter ) . The center honors the life and impact of Dr. W.E.B Du Bois, pioneering American sociologist, historian, civil rights activist, and founder of NAACP and his wife Shirley Graham Du Bois. Visiting the country that is home to Hatshepsut’s Temple, one of my favorite #RebelGirls , was a beautiful reminder that courage, vision, and wisdom create legacies that never fade. 🇪🇬 👸🏾✨ 🌍❤️🏛️.........💪🏾🦇🪽Bat Wings OWT…It was hot as HAYLE all 12 days. 🥵 👩🏾‍🏫 🤓 Had to show one the peddlers I was from ‘round the way and as slick as he was on this day. Ya’ll know I does my research. He wasn’t ready. Lol 🤣 They weren’t as bad as socials made it seem. 🇬🇭 🍫 🌴 🛫🇺🇸‘Member those SACRIFICES I mentioned public education in America forces educators to make every day? Yeah well…mental and physical health was top up on that list for me for FAR TOO LONG. Taking care of work, kids, and home while pursuing advanced degree, establishing a career, raising a kid, managing a relationship, and household….yup did a number on ya girl. I put myself last and refused to ask for help back then. Now? TUH! Indeed not. I come FIRST, PERIODT. God. Family. Everything else. IN THAT ORDER. Hardcore NONNEGOTIABLE boundary and I will OUTSOURCE or ask for help guilt free in a heartbeat. The program with myself, for myself is REAL STRICT ova here now.👋🏾 🫂 ✌🏾 All packed up and said farewell to my Cocoa Tree, amazing staff, and accommodations. This concludes the current international travel itinerary for now. I’m very excited to see my husband and Daughter Girl. However I’m quite excited to get back to my 5am workout routine. Updating the gym playlist NEOW. 👨🏻‍⚕️🩺🧾🙌🏾💃🏾My annual appointments/results look AMAZING per my primary. Doc is super pleased with blood sugar, weight loss, and A1C has been sliced in half.
