Did you know that in #Kuwait we have 2 species of camel spiders? The first picture is of the large chelicera camel spider (Rhagodidae sp.) and the second is of the small chelicera camel spider (Solpugidae sp.). The obvious difference is the size of their chelicera which is their mouth parts.

They are not camels or spiders or scorpions. Rather they are related to spiders and scorpions but are in their own family. A fun fact, they can move each of the four chalicera independently which makes it difficult for pray to escape! Where have you seen them in Kuwait before?

I don't know how the Camel Spider (Rhagodidae sp.) got himself into this death match but the Opposum Beetle (Mesostena puncticolis) has it in a death grip that it couldn't get out of! The invertebrate world is filled with life-or-death battles.

The fat-tailed scorpion just doing what he does best. Looking for food. Chilling. Being a scorpion.

Do NOT approach wild animals! Give them their space to avoid injuries to you and the animal!

Jump on chances. Sometimes a risk brings unexpected results. It's eaither a lesson or a treat. Either way, it's a new experience!
