Breaking news from Mo News HQ 🗞️:

Please welcome the newest member of the Mo News family: Baby Charlotte 👶🏻

Charlotte arrived early Sunday morning, one week after her due date, and after 24 hours of labor. Our 9 pound 8 ounce bundle arrived just in time to join us for breakfast and she was more than worth the wait!

The moment we’d been waiting for most wasn’t just meeting Charlotte It was watching Olivia become a big sister. She greeted her with laughs, kisses and the biggest smile. She is taking her responsibilities seriously and is already very protective — immediately telling us she needs to wash her hands before she holds Charlotte and wanting to comfort her if she cries.

Alex @alsall —you continue to amaze me and I am so incredibly lucky to be your husband. You handled the last 9 months (100+ degree temps and wildfire smoke while 41 weeks pregnant!) and labor/delivery with incredible poise, patience and strength. As you like to say, “this is my Super Bowl and men could NEVER do this!”

Only Alex would spend part of labor apologizing to our OB for interrupting his weekend, while also cracking jokes and making the entire delivery room laugh. Charlotte and Olivia couldn’t ask for a better and more loving mom.

Thank you to everyone in this community for the incredible messages, prayers and support over the past few days. We feel so fortunate to share this milestone with all of you.

Now... back to the news. (After some time away for newborn snuggles and diaper changes.)

We loved looking through photos and videos from the past nine months. It’s true that the second pregnancy flies by even faster.

From finding out we were pregnant, family trips, nights out with friends, meeting The Backstreet Boys at their concert, speaking at my Alma mater, our baby moon, post dinner ice cream walks, meeting Martha, celebrating birthdays and holidays, to soaking up every last bit of time as a family of three.

In what feels like the blink of an eye, we know everything is about to change. We cannot wait to watch our loving, funny, brilliant and nurturing little girl become a big sister.

Can we start normalizing baby blessings instead of typical baby showers?

@alsall and I co-created a beautiful experience that we wish existed. We worked with an incredible Shamanic Healer, Donnie founder of @highlightrituals who did a shamanic energy clearing and blessing for each mother and child. She then retrieved a power animal for each child, which is like a guardian angel in animal form.

The community that witnessed the ceremony gave their own final blessing, whispering their blessings for the babies into a crystal for both mothers to keep.

This was such a special and meaningful way to set the energy for the babies and the mothers we are becoming. So grateful to be on this journey welcoming our second baby girls together.

Sick of getting into a rideshare and their air freshener or cologne is too strong? Mo News asked @uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi whether the app could add a filter for scent-free cars—aimed at riders sensitive to strong fragrances.

“That’s the first time I’ve heard that,” Khosrowshahi said, when asked about a pitch from @alsall. “I’ll take that to the product team.”

Fragrance-free products are appearing more in stores and on social media, driven in part by concerns about skin sensitivity and potential impacts on the endocrine system.

The endocrine system produces and regulates hormones in the body. Endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) — found in everyday products — can interfere with these hormones.

I’ve spent the last few years in deep conversations about women’s health, fertility and low-tox living. One of the things that keeps coming up? What we put on our skin.
