MEGA MIDSOUTH!!!

This was one of the most wild rides of my life! From 4” of mud to llamas telling me to wash my bike, I had a blast! I’m so thankful for the bike community pushing me and my friends cheering me on! Here is a recap of one of my biggest adventures yet!!

Mid south ‘25

Everyone told me there would be some crazy weather this year. Although, they just thought it would rain.

Growing up a Stillwater local, I’ve always heard great things about this 50 or 100 mile gravel ride that happens every spring. When I mentioned my home town, people from Wyoming to Pennsylvania, would tell me about this wild ride they looked forward to in Stilly.

Well, this year, I became one of those crazy people. I’ve ridden miles beside friends old and new as we pushed ourselves to prepare. I’m sad the race was canceled, but that’s okay, I wasn’t ready to ride it anyway. So, I guess I’ll see ya on the red dirt next year. taken in The Mid South by @also_evyn

Crested Butte, you stole my heart. A cold night car camping before skiing till close the next day and driving back in the snow (& barely having enough time to stop on the snow before hitting the elk!).

&, I got to visit the wooden nickel. It was once owned by my great-great-great-grandfather as a pool hall during prohibition and later a bar. Sorry to the server that I convinced that I drank really hot water. I really used it to heat my sleeping bag!!

this was the kind of trip that I can’t get out of my head. The one that I constantly want to remember and
long to return to. This was a trip I will never forget. 🏔️ by @also_evyn

12/24 – 01/25
somewhat silent vlog - breck

When OK doesn’t give you snow, you go north for winter break. I had the best time in CO & apparently had a promising future in ticket sales. Unfortunately, I threw it all away to come back to OK for school - Found out I got the job while studying for my last final. Somehow, I passed it since my thoughts were on leaving 4 days later. 😂

- Shoutout to redbull for keeping me awake on the long drive.
- Got my jacket + nametag. I’m surprised by how many people knew about stilly.
- Worked on skiing parallel
- Took a ride break (or 2) in jeans. Just like my dad did in college 😂
- Skied down P6 in white out. Low visibility about halfway down. If you can’t see your skis, you can’t see the terrain & psych yourself out.
- Was on one of the first chairs in 8” of snow. Learning curve skiing in fresh pow & I took a little tumble.
- Tried snowboarding for the second time & made it down the bunny hill
- Went skiing with some fabulous coworkers and did a sloppy double spin
- Made so many memories & was officially bitten by the ski bug.

23 thoughts after 22 years:
- 23 miles is smaller on a map than in person
- I’m grateful for my small group friends past and present!
- I want to risk being awkward for the chance of connection ✝️
- A biker diaper is a new bikers best friend
- When you doubt the heart of God you start to trust your own heart
- Charge your headlight and backlight before you go on a 24 mile ride

- Shooting stars happen more often than I thought. Don’t scream when you see one, you’ll scare your friends @emma.k8_ @brookelynn.long
- Anxiety: worrying + trying to control apart of His plan when He already knows the outcome
- Don’t seek positions of praise, He will place you where you will glorify + praise Him
- Surender, a simple word that is far more difficult to carry out!
- Am I a fan, a Pharisee, or a disciple? -JB
- Do I have confidence in myself or confidence in God?
- We only love like God when we pursue the heart of God
- The mid south 50 may kick my butt.
- My words and actions create an environment around me. They have the power to corrupt the lives of others or foster integrity. Those in leadership set the tone for others (proverbs 29)
- I need to draw close to the heart of God more!
- Because Jesus was perfect, he sacrificed himself for all people. This time, the sacrifice was eternal and not temporary. His work was done, and he could rest. He was seated at the right hand of God. Christ’s blood symbolically represented life. He was the last high priest. (Hebrews 1:1-4, 4:14-16, Hebrews 8:1)
- The jews were considered to be the closest to God and were still far from Him
- Sin is placing anything above God. This is both intentional or unintentional.
- God does not ask us to come to him after our heart is changed. Rather, he changes our heart after we draw close to Him!

- I am a senior in college studying nursing
- I am 5’12.5” (no, I don’t play sports!)
- I want to go to Antarctica some day
- I am obsessed with parties and making them cute (thanks mom!!)
