Our beloved Dove, springs pure and clear.
Filtered through limestone layers… year on year.
Its crystal path flows to
Beresfordale…
Cloaked in natures verdant vail as it weaves between crags and spires.
And slowed… in pools that caught Walton’s desires.

Stay, and slow down from summer at The Stone Estate

#staycation #holidaycottage #slowtravel #slowliving #englishsummer by @alstonefieldmanor

Why ‘The Stone Estate’? Many of you knew us as ‘Alstonefield Manor,’ but behind the scenes, we’ve been rebuilding walls, restoring cottages, and reshaping gardens and grounds. Designing a place for you to come, stay, and settle.

On your stays you’ll see in and around Alstonefield (“All-Stone-Field”) the miles of stone walls that define the landscape.

And in an era of instant gratification and quick culture, these stone cottages represent a place of permanence for you to feel at peace.

Comment “STONE” and we’ll send you the link to book your stay by @alstonefieldmanor

I Had the pleasure of visiting @alstonefieldmanor on Wednesday to book the Gardeners cottage for a summer’s getaway, I was greeted by the lovely owners Jo and Robert who’s love and passion can be felt in every step around the property.
Alstonefield Manor is set in the most gorgeous village of Alstonefield, the house itself is set within its own walled grounds with picturesque views and most tranquil setting, the house has some very interesting history with some original features still remaining, the gardens are a delight to wander and there’s even a cold plunge if you’re feeling brave enough.
Gardeners cottage is a little hideaway in the garden, it’s that perfect little escape and I can’t wait..

This is what Peak District cottages are supposed to look like.

We stayed at @alstonefieldmanor and genuinely did not want to leave. Grand enough to feel special, homely enough to actually relax in. Manicured gardens, a day bed, a double hammock, fire pit, cold plunge and the birds doing all the work on the soundtrack.

If you’re looking for a proper escape on the quiet side of the Peaks, this is the one.

Harper Barn is a contemporary barn conversion located in the middle of Alstonefield with views across the village green.

The barn is designed as an ‘upside down’ cottage to take advantage of the double height, open plan living/dining area. On the ground floor are two bedrooms, one with a king size bed, en-suite and tub style bath. The second bedroom is set up as a twin (or super king) and has an en-suite with a walk-in shower. A painted wooden staircase leads to a large open plan living/dining area with a fully fitted kitchen, breakfast bar and long dining table. The barn features a double height living area with painted wooden floors, log burner, wooden shutters and original exposed oak beams. Beside the cottage is a large gravelled seating area, enclosed garden, parking for three cars and a bike store.#kiphideaways #peakdistrict #staycation by @alstonefieldmanor

I’ve always wanted to create a wallpaper with our oak leaf design… so Mr Wood had this bright idea 🤩🍂
