Thank you to my friend @levar.burton for stopping by the @altadenalibrary for a wonderful grand opening event! 📚🌈❤️

The day was filled with hope and wholesome library love and joy like my friend @mychal3ts talks about so often.

I had a wonderful time painting faces and listening to LeVar Burton read his book “The Rhino Who Swallowed a Storm.” It’s the perfect title for helping people understand and process complex feelings. Something that the Altadena community most definitely needs following the fires.

You don’t have to be @levar.burton to support your local library and local community! All you have to do is stop by your local library, but you don’t have to take my word for it! taken in Altadena Library District by @altadenalibrary

We are humbled by how many of our elected leaders, local organizations, and community members were able to join us for our reopening celebration event today. And a massive thanks to the incomparable LeVar Burton (and his team) for making this happen. It was amazing.

The @AltadenaLibrary is now open!

@mychal3ts and @blairimani stopped by to make the announcement while filming for an upcoming episode of @thoughtsaboutfeelingspod which launches on April 2.

For the first time since the devastating Eaton Fire, the @altadenalibrary is now open. Thank you to the library workers for championing the reopening effort and to all of the people who helped to clear debris and prepare the building.

It’s going to be a long and difficult road to rebuilding Altadena but the Altadena Library is here for you 💕📖

Care Camp was created and launched 72 hours after the Eaton Fire to help children and families.

The generosity 💜 of amazing County departments, partners and donors made it possible to serve 2,700 youth at five LA County parks & gardens 🌳.

The County’s Golden Eagle 🦅 Award for “Trauma-Informed Fire Relief” is a tribute to hundreds of helping hands across the county 💝
