Design has always fascinated me, especially when someone rethinks a problem most people just accept. That curiosity is what led me to reach out to Squires and Scott a couple years ago, and while I was in Bentonville I finally got the chance to meet Squires in person and tour Altangle.

Since February 2023, I’ve been using the Hangar Connect from @altanglecycling in our van for bike maintenance on the go. It weighs about three pounds, tucks away easily, and is compact enough to check in with luggage when flying. It’s one of those products that immediately makes you wonder why nobody thought of it sooner.

What impressed me most is that Altangle’s design philosophy extends well beyond cycling. Alongside their bike repair stands, modular mounts, and travel-focused cycling products, @altangletools also designs adaptable products for hunting, outdoor, storage, transport, and everyday utility use. Everything feels purpose-built around versatility, durability, and solving real-world problems in a simpler way.

Squires also showed me a few soon-to-be released products. He wasn’t ready for me to photograph or share publicly yet, but I’ll just say he’s solving a few problems a lot of us have been wanting solved. 😉
