September is (almost) here, which means it’s time to shift the energy of the home along with the season. 🌾

With Mabon and the Autumn Equinox ahead, I like to use the beginning of the month as a little reset. And to be honest, I completely rush into fall 😅 because 1. Texas needs to cool down and 2. ITS OUR SEASON!

Here are a few simple ways to bring that energy into your home:

🧹 Sweep your front step.
Sweep from your doorway outward, clearing away stagnant energy and making room for what you want to welcome in this season.

🍎 Make a gratitude basket.
Add an apple, acorn, herb, candle, crystal, or anything that represents something you’re grateful for. Let it be a little physical collection of this season’s abundance.

🕯️ Light two candles.
One for summer and one for fall. Sit with them for a moment and think about what you’re carrying forward from one season and what you’re ready to welcome from the next.

🧽 Mop with intention.
As you clean, say:
“With grateful hands, I clear this space.
May peace and plenty fill this place.”

🐦 Leave an offering.
A little birdseed or fresh water outside is a simple way to practice reciprocity. The harvest is about recognizing that abundance is something we participate in, not just something we receive.

🥣 Bless your pantry.
Place your hands over a bowl of fruit, your pantry shelves, or whatever is currently feeding your household. Give thanks for what you have and for everyone and everything that helped bring it to you.

Mabon reminds us that there is magic in taking stock.

Before you start asking what’s next, look around.

What have you already grown?

Happy September, witches. 🍎🌾

Have you ever had a special experience with a cat familiar?

Maybe one walked across your path and gave you a message about what’s to come?

Maybe you visited a shelter and couldn’t help but take home that cute gray cat?

🐈‍⬛ 🐈

Taking the magic of their color + their individual essense, you can develop a deep relationship with your familiar (or a stray just passing you by)

I’d love to hear your stories about your cat familiar magick…⬇️ by @altarspacecrystal

🕯️ As October deepens and the veil is said to thin, it’s a beautiful time to remember those who came before us.

In many spiritual traditions, this time of year is associated with ancestors, remembrance, and the connection between the living and the dead.

And you don’t need a grand Samhain ritual or an elaborate altar to honor that connection. Here are a few simple ways to begin:

🕯️ Light a candle in their memory. Take a quiet moment to remember someone who came before you. Say their name, recall a favorite memory, or simply sit in gratitude.

📸 Create a small remembrance space. Set out a photograph, a meaningful object, or something that reminds you of a loved one. It doesn’t need to be elaborate.

🍎 Make a family recipe. Prepare a dish someone you love used to make. Remember the stories, traditions, and little things that have been passed down through food.

📖 Write down their stories. Ask relatives about family history, record a favorite memory, or write down what you know about the people who came before you. Keep those stories alive.

🌿 Spend time somewhere meaningful. Visit a loved one’s grave, tend their resting place, or spend time in a place that reminds you of them. Always approach cemeteries and sacred spaces with respect.

🔮 Reflect on what you’ve inherited. Not just objects or family traditions, but skills, values, resilience, and lessons. What do you want to carry forward? What patterns are you ready to leave behind?

🍞 Set a place of remembrance. During a meal, pause to remember those who are no longer here and the ways their lives have touched yours. If you leave a food offering, follow your tradition and keep wildlife safe.

And remember: you can honor your ancestors without having a perfect relationship with your family tree. You can choose what you carry forward, honor the people who nurtured you, and build connections with the traditions and histories that feel meaningful to you.

This October, make a little room for remembrance. 🖤

Another trip around the sun… and this witch just keeps getting witchier. 🧙‍♀️🎂🍂

Every year around my birthday, I find myself thinking about how much time I spent trying to fit myself into versions of who I thought I was supposed to be. I think we all do.

And honestly? I wish I had embraced this part of myself sooner. Most of you have known this version of me on the internet, but to truly, deeply embrace magic? That sometimes takes time.

The candles. The crystals. The tarot cards. The seasons. The rituals. The intuition (this one specifically). The little things that make life feel a little more magical.

So this year, I’m sharing a little birthday ritual you can do on your own birthday!

🕯️ Light a candle.

🔮 Pull one tarot or oracle card and ask: “What part of myself am I ready to embrace more fully this year?”

📝 Write down one thing you’ve learned about yourself over the last year.

🌿 Then write one thing you want to give yourself permission to be, do, or explore in the year ahead.

Take a moment to celebrate the person you’re becoming, and also the person you’ve been all along.

Getting older isn’t just about adding another year it usually means becoming more comfortable being YOU.

And if that makes you a little witchier along the way?

Well… I consider that a birthday bonus. 😉🖤

Feeling so grateful this year!! Thank you to everyone here & for continually supporting me. Our little online coven wouldn’t be real without each and every one of you! by @altarspacecrystal

Busy witch? This one’s for you. 🧙‍♀️🍂 (and for me, because same)

You do not need a grand ritual, a perfectly styled altar, or 45 uninterrupted minutes to connect with the season.

You can build a meaningful practice out of tiny moments.

Try choosing three little seasonal check-ins each week and add them to your calendar. Yes, actually put them on there. Witchcraft is allowed to have a recurring appointment. 😉

A few easy ideas:

🍂 Step outside for five minutes.
Notice what has changed since last week. The light. The temperature. The trees. The air.

🕯️ Light a candle while you make dinner, shower, or get ready for bed.
Take one breath and set an intention for the rest of your week.

🔮 Pull one tarot or oracle card.
Ask: What do I need to pay attention to right now?

🌿 Make your coffee or tea with intention.
Hold the mug. Take a breath. Decide what you want to invite into your day.

🌙 Look at the moon before you go inside.
You don’t need to know the phase. Just notice it.

🧹 Turn cleaning into a reset.
Open a window, sweep the floor, and imagine you’re clearing out stagnant energy along with the dust.

🍎 Pause before a meal.
Offer a little gratitude for something that made its way onto your plate.

You don’t need to do all of these. Please do not turn this into a 47-step seasonal routine. 😂

Pick three. Put them on the calendar. Make them simple enough that you’ll actually do them.

Save this for your next busy-witch week. 🖤

Happy Fall Equinox, witches! 🍂🕯️

Tomorrow we welcome the balance of light and dark ⚖️ and officially begin our descent into the darker half of the year 👻

A beautiful time to pause, give thanks for what has grown, release what no longer needs carrying, and make space for what’s next.

Light a candle, step outside, notice the shift in the air, and honor the season you’re entering.

The darker half of the year is coming… and your home deserves a little witchy reset. 🕯️🍂

Before we fully settle into longer nights, cooler days, and spooky season, here are a few ways to prepare your space for the shift:

🕯️ Swap your seasonal decor
Put away the bright summer pieces and bring in darker, warmer, more grounding items. Think candles, dried herbs, autumn colors, and anything that makes your home feel cozy.

🌿 Bring in something from nature
A fallen leaf, acorn, pinecone, dried flowers, or a branch can become a simple seasonal altar or centerpiece. Let your decor reflect what’s happening outside.

🧹 Give your home a good energetic reset
Open the windows, sweep from the back of the house toward the front door, and imagine the stagnant energy leaving with the dust.

🕯️ Create a little evening ritual
As the days get shorter, light a candle when the sun goes down. Take a few quiet minutes to reflect on what you’re releasing, what you’re grateful for, and what you want to carry into the season ahead.

🌶️ Make a seasonal simmer pot
Try orange peel, cinnamon, cloves, rosemary, and apple. Let the scent fill your home while setting an intention for warmth, protection, and abundance.

🪞 Clean your mirrors
Not just because they’re dusty. 😉 Use it as a little ritual for reflecting on who you are now—not who you were in the brighter, busier months.

🍎 Bless your kitchen
As we move toward harvest season, take a moment to appreciate the food that sustains you. Stir your soups, bake your bread, or prepare a meal with intention and gratitude.

And most importantly…

Don’t rush through the darkness.

The darker half of the year has its own kind of magic. It invites us inward, slows us down, and reminds us that rest is part of the cycle, too.

So make your home a place that supports you through the season. 🖤
