Folks, we are BACK! 🚀
Saturday the 5th of September the @altblosstage returns to McKenna’s Yard for another year of live music and craic. Showcasing the best local talent the town and further afield has to offer.

From the stage’s inception in 2009 it has been a cornerstone for rising talent providing a chance for artists to get their start & hone their ability. 🤘

Our headliners @official.even.more.so.band will take to the stage once again to close the night out with a bang.

The music in McKenna’s Yard will be kicking off from 2pm and finishing at 10pm so make sure to get down early and support the artists! 🍻

Guys, I’m pretty hungover so welcome to the one and only stream of consciousness multiple caption post because you can actually do this now and it’s pretty cool. However despite me being in bits that does not take away that we have a phenomenal line up of DJs tonight to keep the party going after McKenna’s yard closes up.

First of all we have the wonderful @diebyveg gracing our presence this evening alongside @poitin.patronsaint.ofireland like guys, it’s gonna be class and going by our conversation last night in the smoking area this set is going to blow the jocks off yous and not one to miss!

Next up for our second headline act we have The Mashed Potatoes, they are a group of friends that got together just over a year ago with the goal to play heavy tunes and make as much noise as possible.

We are: Ryan Cassidy ”Sham” on vocals, Chris Winsryg and Mike O’Hare on guitar, Dylan Shields on bass and Conor “Cowboy” Cadden on drums. We are local band that practice/drink cans in a shed in scotstown and have frequent noise complaints from the cows in the field nextdoor. The Alt Blos Stage would like to proudly announce the return of @oriel_music to the stage. This music group has been going from strength to strength over the last 3 years. This year 15 students will perform with teacher Shane McKenna and vocalist Laura Mc Geough. Here’s a clip from their first rehearsal. All of the students are buzzing for Saturday’s performance. Next up for the @altblosstage we have @light.gallery.music they are a six-piece folk band based in Dublin. This October marks Light Gallery’s two year anniversary as a live band, during which time they have brought their folk/alternative country sound to a number of Dublin venues, including a standout show closing out the Whelan’s main stage on St Patrick’s Day. Longtime appreciators of the Harvest Blues Festival and the Alt Blos Stage, Light Gallery are honoured to make an appearance at this year’s festival!

Next on the Alt Blos Stage we have Entourage. Consisting of Pat O’ Shaughnessy on Vocals and Lead Guitar. Connall McSorley on the Drums, Vocals and Harmonica. Daniel Kierans on Bass and Vocals. The three musicians, have recently banded together to form Entourage to play some tunes and have the craic. Expect all types of music from Funk to Grunge. Their inspirations range from Stevie Ray Vaughan to Tool and they are not to be missed.

The Alt Blos Stage is proud to announce our headlining act, Even More So. Formed in August 2025, born from late-night rehearsals, shared influences, and a collective desire to create something that felt both heavy and honest. Their sound blends the hazy textures of shoegaze with the raw drive of alternative rock and personal lyricism. E.M.S have carefully carved out a sound that is as immersive as it is powerful. Hailing from Cavan, Even More So channel the stillness and isolation of their surroundings into something electrifying. They are creating music you don’t just simply listen to, but step inside.

In Circles are a local youth post-hardcore band formed in the outback of county Monaghan in 2025, there influences include the likes of Kind Of Like Spitting, Sunny Day Real Estate and At the Drive-In. The Band Consists of 5 members all of whom bring a different set of skills to the table, teen acts at the moment wont get any better taken in Mc Kenna's Bar Monaghan by @altblosstage
