What is a brother to you?
The dictionary will tell you that it is a man in relation to other sons and daughters of a parent. I have a different definition.

A brother is just a word that barely encapsulates our relationship. Since the day I met you, we’ve always had a spark. Whether it be 2 very young adults united in similar struggles and stubbornness or 2 older adults united in grind and drive. We’ve done it together.

Very seldom do you meet someone who thinks like you, complements you, and pushes you to be better. Someone you can trust with your darkest secrets and share your best victories and worst losses with. But Sony Hans, we’ve been through it all together.

Watching us grow up as men has been truly a pleasure , whether it came from working out together, figuring out how we would make this money, or grinding at our respective jobs. It’s been together.

You’ve always been a beacon of decisiveness. Dually patient and impulsive , but always tactical nonetheless. From scrubbing dishes and checking people out at the gas station to going fully corporate and championing true black excellence. You did everything you said you would and the future is bright for you.

While I wish life would’ve brought us together sooner and gave us more time, I’m grateful for all the memories we made and even more grateful for the successes the future brings towards us. While we aren’t blood, you represent everything a brother means to me, and I don’t know if blood could make us any closer. I promise to god the world will know SK.
