She is the biggest dreamer, the best leader, and proof that you can do anything you set your mind to! If you don’t know Laurel,She has 9 kids & 10 grand-babies and counting! She is the biggest beach bum! She has ALWAYS had a deep love for Wedding Dresses and she was made for this industry! Not only is she the owner of @utahbrideroom @loveandcurvesbridal & @desertrosebride but she is also the owner and head seamstress of @alterationartistry Laurel is one of the most talented seamstresses alive! She has been sewing for 48 years and has never stopped improving! She runs the biggest bridal gown company in the state! Shes a phenomenal Mother, Grandmother, Boss, Friend, Wife, and she is one of the most loving people you will ever meet! Our alteration timeline usually runs between 5–12 weeks before your wedding day (or bridals, if you’re doing them) That window gives us the time to work on your gown without rushing the process. Once we begin, there will be a few fittings along the way. Alterations aren’t a one-and-done appointment - we adjust, check the fit, refine the details, and make sure everything feels just right on your body.Your first follow-up fitting is typically scheduled in about 5–6 weeks after your initial appointment, so keep that in mind when planning your schedule.Starting sooner rather than later is always a good idea, especially as we move into busy season. Our calendar fills so quickly, and waiting too long can make scheduling more limited than you’d like.If you need your gown completed in less than 5 weeks, we do offer rush services when availability allows (with additional rush fees).Planning ahead keeps the process smooth - and this part of your wedding season calm and stress-free.Save this for later 🤍#bridalalterations #alterations #bridalgown #weddingdressalterations by @alterationartistry

There are so many things to keep in mind around the time of the wedding, and knowing what to bring to your alterations fitting can be such a stress! To keep it simple, here are the three most important things to have with you! 1. Your wedding shoes! And we mean the actual shoes you will be wearing on the wedding day, not just shoes that are a “similar height”. This is so important cause once your hem is cut, there is no way to make it longer again. Because of that, we want to make sure we get it exactly perfect with the exact shoes! 2. Any shape-wear/undergarments you will be wearing with the dress on your wedding day! Foundation wear can change the fit of how the gown sits on your body, so be sure to bring that to your fitting so your seamstress can best see what adjustments need to be made to the gown! 3. The specific date of when you need the gown completed! If you plan on traveling with the gown before the wedding, or doing any Bridal photos before the wedding make sure your seamstress knows! Seamstresses get booked full quick ESPECIALLY during the spring and summer!
