We are shocked and saddened by the news of the untimely passing of the legendary Helch.

We always half-joked on tours that we were unofficial Heads of the Helch Fan Club. Seeing all the tributes over the past 24 hours has shown us what a big club that is.

He embodied everything that we love about graffiti. He was also a perfectionist and a world class artist and we were so fortunate to witness him at work. We've never seen anyone do what he did before and there will never be another like him again.

Above all he was a kind and humble human who recently donated a share of his book sales to animal charities.

Sending all our love and condolences to his family and loved ones. The streets of East London will never be the same again 🕊

[AD] We felt like proper tourists exploring parts of East London we’d never seen before — right by Old Spitalfields Market and Brick Lane. We easily did over 10,000 steps and learned so much about street art and the history of East London.

It’s a 2-hour walking tour, so toilet breaks are only before or after — which is why it’s recommended for ages 10+. That said, if your kids can manage the walk or are in a buggy, it’s definitely doable.

The highlight for us was the spray painting workshop (optional add-on), which made the whole experience around 3 hours. My son and husband absolutely loved it — they were in their element.

One tip: there weren’t overalls in my son’s size, so his clothes did get a bit of paint on them. It should wash out, but I’d recommend wearing something you don’t mind getting messy.
