In my "I'm the catch and I know it" era. 😜💙

For so long, I found myself chasing, longing for, and idealizing men without realizing that I was the real prize all along.

Now I know my worth. I am the big deal.

I’m no longer chasing or abandoning my boundaries. I’m learning to give myself the love, care, and devotion I once searched for in others. I’d rather be single and at peace than settle for confusion.

I didn’t just wake up feeling sexy overnight.

I worked hard for this.

I stayed consistent with my routines. I faced my insecurities. I let myself feel my emotions. I showed up even when it was hard. I learned to pick myself back up and empower myself on the days I felt low.

Recognizing my attachment patterns has been one of the hardest pills to swallow. It made me realize that I wasn’t looking for love, I was looking for someone to fill the parts of me I had neglected for so long.

I realized I don’t need another person to save me. I need to become the love I’ve been searching for all along.

Despite all the pain, judgments, and challenges, you continue to show up. From truth, from love, and from the deepest parts of yourself. Again and again. You are softening, opening, and becoming more of yourself with every passing day. You have so much love to give because you are love itself. And no love you offer is ever wasted because the world needs it. Thank you for your gentle fire, your medicine, and your strength. I honor you.

I have not cut my hair since my lolo passed and since the beginning of my healing journey. But after three years, I feel the call. Cutting my hair feels like an act of honoring the transformation I am gently embracing. I was never meant to stay in one version of myself. I am meant to evolve, to change, and to trust where love is leading me.

Althea Faye is the name my mama and papa gave me, and I am choosing to fully return to her. To embrace her, honor her, and embody her completely. 🌹
