Regretfully the decision to cancel the Cherry Lake Market on Sunday 4 October has been made.
Cherry Lake Reserve is currently flooded and the grass sodden.
With more rain forecast for tomorrow, the situation is unlikely to improve.
Sorry to stall holders who've worked so hard preparing for this market..... but we'll be back bigger and better in November.
See you then. taken in Cherry Lake (Victoria) by @altonalions

We are delighted to support the development of Art Therapy for Demetia project in some small way.
We urge anyone who knows of someone who would benefit from this program to get in touch with the organiser.

A reminder that the Cherry Lake Market resumes after its Winter hiatus next Sunday.
Its Fathers Day too so bring Dad out for one of our famous sausages in bread at the Lions marque.
Lots of other stalls too so you're sure to find something.

Happy New Year!
We're excited to be back at Cherry Lake for our Market for 2026.
Thank you to the former stall holders who continue to support us.
And we're happy to welcome new stall holders too.
Hope you all have a good day.
Plus we welcome all our visitors who without you this market wouldn't exist. taken in Cherry Lake (Victoria) by @altonalions

A final Working Bee for this year ... planting out a residents garden at Lionsville at Wintringham.
We also checked out the previous plantings carried out a while ago and everything is thriving.
Thanks to

At last night's meeting , we had the pleasure of having PDG Tom Blair as our Guest Speaker. He spoke on his District Portfolio of Safety and the Environment, reminding us of all the hidden dangers we must be aware of in our volunteering. He also promoted and encouraged our work with the Green Canopy Project.
PCC Maurie Tanian presented President Malcolm with his 33 years of Service tab. Congratulations Malcolm.

How lucky were we!
A beautiful day for the @cherrylakemarket yesterday with many people coming out to check out the many and varied stalls.
Thank you to those who came out, who supported our "Big Group Hug" collection of toiletries for vulnerable children facing hardship, who bought Christmas Cakes and Puddings, and who enjoyed our Sausage Sizzle. And of course drinks were at a premium on such a hot day!
Thank you ... and see you in December for the final @cherrylakemarket of 2025.

It's the @cherrylakemarket this Sunday 2 November from 9.00 - 1.00pm.
Time to start your Christmas shopping and buy some unique gifts from one of our many stallholders.
And even pick up some food and drinks while you're about it!
Don't forget your Christmas Cakes and Puddings while you're about it.
